Only 25 species produce venom that is dangerous to humans. This makes them a significant threat to young children. However, most scorpions do not harm humans and only the Arizona bark scorpion has venom strong enough to kill a small child. Luckily, scorpion venom is treated with antivenom, which is available in medical facilities within its range. To feed a scorpion, owners simply drop live prey into the tank.
