Download or read book All the Colors of Life written by Shirley J. Wenrich and published by BalboaPress. This book was released on 2013-02-15 with total page 141 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There have been many qualities obtained over the years, including work and positions of leadership in several nonprofit organizations. Also a deep interest in color and design, ranging from the ownership in two art shops that bridged the gap between art gallery and a craft shop, with quality and variety. This led to set design for a local theater and interior design that I love. However, the greatest achievement, besides raising four children, was my participation in the Harmonic Convergence. This took place in 1987, and the best place to be was the only sacred site east of the Mississippi at the Serpent Mounds in Ohio. Since I needed an active part, I was The Hug Lady and met people from all over the world. Whatever we did, it helped, because the Berlin Wall came down within three years, and it was the beginning of the end of Communism. I enjoy anything I can do to help others.

Download or read book The Jewel of Abundance written by Ellen Grace O'Brian and published by New World Library. This book was released on 2018-11-27 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Achieve Success and Prosperity through the Principles of Yoga Although millions of Westerners practice yoga simply for its health benefits, the philosophy and wisdom behind the multifaceted discipline have far more to offer. In The Jewel of Abundance, award-winning author and Kriya Yoga teacher Ellen Grace O'Brian reveals an overlooked aspect of yoga: its powerful teachings on prosperity. She draws upon the ancient Vedic tradition of yoga philosophy and practice and shows how spirituality and earthly success can complement each other, leading to realization of the higher Self. O'Brian presents a clear explanation of both the philosophy of yoga and the nuts and bolts of practice, such as setting up a daily meditation routine, incorporating mantras, discerning how to cooperate with universal principles for complete well-being, and cultivating mindfulness in action. Along the way, she illustrates her lessons with personal stories and timeless sayings from great sages, both Eastern and Western. With O'Brian's insightful guidance, readers will discover an inexhaustible source of abundance that is available to them whenever they look within.

Download or read book Tobago in Print written by The Tobago Writers The Tobago Writers Guilg and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2015-11-03 with total page 187 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Where on earth is this place called Tobago in which twenty six authors have come together to produce an anthology called, Tobago in Print, vol 1? While the geographical location of this precious, unique and serene island can be easily placed at the near-southernmost tip of the Caribbean chain of islands, its soul and spirit shine out in the pages of this riveting book. Perhaps the soul of the island is best captured by Crystal Skeete, Tobagos champion spoken word artiste who writes, Bago is the place that we win wars with we mouth not with guns and knife. Whatever the island of Tobago is, the Tobago Writers Guild production of this book is a work of love unity and excellence. Members thank the groups guru Marlene Nourbese Phillips, herself an award winning author of the book, Harriets Daughter who nurtured in them the belief that they can accomplish this book. She has herself written a very fitting foreword to the book declaring that it illustrates the breadth of English expression that is the linguistic reality and heritage of Tobago. The work of each of the 26 contributors to this book is a study of creativity and original thought. It reflects an exciting array of themes, styles and perspectives. It answers the question of exactly what are the concerns of Caribbean people and its writers. Is it for good health care as so graphically presented by Gloria Austin in Heart to Heart, or for the preservation of the islands traditions explored by Milca Robinson Reid in Heritage Beginnings or the age-old prejudices of skin colour recorded by Laureen Burris Phillip in Growing Up Red or for future of its youth in De African Dimension of Deborah Moore-Miggins? In this book, it is all these things and more. Reginald O. Phillips also took time to pay tribute to Tobagos icon and internationally recognized statesman in the person of deceased former Prime Minister - and President of Trinidad and Tobago, Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson. Indeed, this book is a collectors item for Caribbean people and those interested in Caribbean literature.
