Book Jaden s First Thirty Days in Heaven

Download or read book Jaden s First Thirty Days in Heaven written by Ruth Robbins and published by . This book was released on 2015-08-27 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jaden, a nine-year-old boy, has an accident while riding his bike on the way to a friend's house. Having been struck by a car, he dies on the scene. He is taken to heaven on a bicycle built for two by an ancestor, and has a number of adventures and other types of experiences during his orientation school. Food lover that he is, many events involve food. Relatives give him a home and offer him friendship while he begins his wait for the rest of his family to rejoin him. He watches surround-sound videos of family history, his own history, and answers to prayer. He meets historical people in the sciences and music, and begins to learn music. His coaches for baseball include a new friend, and his daily Bible lessons with friends are led by Jesus himself. After thirty days (as measured by his sleep times), he graduates from Orientation School. His name, Jaden, comes from non-biblical Hebrew and means God (Ja-) Has Heard (-den). Many of his experiences during the first thirty days can be inferred from Bible passages as possible to experience in Heaven. I have also read many books which have included experiences which were interpreted as being of Heaven. One common thread is that the five senses were enhanced. Several mentioned seeing relatives. I have assumed that biblical characters are approachable as well as being teachers of the books that they wrote. Heaven being a real place for a prepared people, there will be no sin there, and all tears will be wiped away from our eyes. Who can even begin to comprehend what we can experience? We will have all eternity to be with our loving heavenly Father. Who can begin to understand what He has for us? Perhaps a novel like this can be a very small start in that direction.

Book Young Jaden s Adventures in Heaven

Download or read book Young Jaden s Adventures in Heaven written by Ruth Robbins and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2022-01-30 with total page 286 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is designed to show some of the wonders that are in heaven waiting for us through the Father's love. Ruth Robbins grew up the oldest of eight children in Wisconsin. She has always had a love of books, especially the Bible. When she was offered the opportunity to pursue a doctorate in First Century Faith, she completed it in one year. Ruth's hobbies include music, painting, and making beaded jewelry. These were not enough. They didn't seem to reach many people. The Gospel must be preached by whatever means. Books often help. In 2012 her dad died, and during the month after his death, a working title came to mind for a first draft of her book, Young Jaden's Adventures in Heaven, which is her first novel. Ruth currently lives where she grew up, with two family members, and near other family members, in Wisconsin.

Book excerpt: Pastor and popular Bible teacher Sheryl Brady helps Christians prepare for, recognize, and cultivate the powerful yet easily overlooked moments when God shows up in their lives. Everyone experiences God moments, times when God pulls back the curtain and gives a glimpse of his active presence in their lives. Most of us operate under the misapprehension that these moments are rare occurrences that reveal themselves in grand fashion. We expect bells ringing, lights flashing, and neon signs that point to earthshaking revelations. But God often speaks in whispers, strategically and incrementally unveiling his plans, preparations, and purposes through the most unassuming circumstances. The key is to learn how to prepare for, recognize, and be faithful in these moments. In Don’t Miss the Moment, Pastor Sheryl Brady reminds Christians that God is real and unwaveringly present in our daily lives. Through biblical teaching and personal stories of God showing up in times of need, she shows how to pursue deeper relationship with the Faithful One so that we can learn to hear his voice and feel his leading, discern when we are in a defining moment, and redirect our hearts and lives toward his plans and purposes.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: WARNING! This book could make your life messy! Today’s church is continually being confronted with the question, “What is the gospel?” Many churches answer this through strong exposition of biblical truth. Others answer with a focus on community engagement. But doesn’t Christ call us to do both? The covenant of salvation demands a radical re-patterning of relationships. Bryan Lorrits, a pastor in the heart of one of America’s historically racially divided urban centers, seizes the opportunity to engage God, the church, and culture in ways that may challenge your beliefs, practices, and relationships. A Cross-Shaped Gospel clearly articulates the vertical dimension of the Christian faith, as well as looking at the horizontal implications of salvation for growth, service, and community. It provokes readers to think about the implications of living out their faith. What does the gospel mean for issues of: Political engagement? Class distinctions? Race Relations? It is only by reaching upward that we can reach outward in power and with the proper motives, so let A Cross- Shaped Gospel help you in crafting and communicating a biblical philosophy of engaging God and others well!
