Herein, a framework is developed that proposes incremental implementation ofISO 9001:2000 QMS rather thanthe traditional one-time implementation. Theframework is driven by four complementary premises to maximize the likelihoodof success: do-it-yourself, take your time, assign the top operational managerto be the quality representative, and do not seek certification.
