Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For centuries, man has endeavored to lend credence and meaning to the Biblical references of The Antichrist and to find the answers to the questions inherent within those references: Who is he? Where will he come from? What will he look like? And how will we recognize him? In this definitive commentary on our current state of political affairs, Bible scholar and freelance writer, Lawrence Moelhauser will take you on an eye-opening and thought-provoking journey to attempt to answer those questions within the context of the attitudes, behaviors, and political aspirations of the Republican Presidential Nominee, Mr. Donald J. Trump. Mr. Moelhauser shows us how Donald Trump's lies and rhetoric feed off people's worst fears to spread hate, racism, misogyny, Islam-a-phobia, unabashed bigotry, and discrimination, and how that rhetoric coincides, point for point, with the prophesies regarding The Antichrist, with frightening accuracy. Through careful research, Mr. Moelhauser addresses the attributes of The Antichrist, as presented in the Bible, and then compares those attributes with examples from the Presidential Campaign trail and Mr. Trump's meteoric rise to the forefront of the US Political stage. By presenting clear and concise parallels, Mr. Moelhauser encourages readers to engage in conversation and further research, and to answer for themselves the question: Is Donald Trump The Antichrist?

Book excerpt: Donald J. Trump is easily the most controversial U.S. President in living memory. From his questionable win in the 2016 election to his "I don't care what the Constitution says?" attitude, he has alienated world leaders around the globe, not to mention a majority of Americans. His close ties to the KKK and neo-Nazi organizations has lead many to speculate he might be another Hitler. But what if it is an even deeper evil than that?Students of prophecy have long believed the 21st century would be when the feared Antichrist, aka the Beast from the Book of Revelation, would appear in our midst. A slightly more secular prophet, Nostradamus, also places the rise of his third Antichrist (following Napoleon and Hitler) in the current generation. Could Pres. Trump fit the bill?We will explore both the biblical prophecies and the famous quatrains of Nostradamus to see if "The Donald" meets their expectations.

Book Christ in Crisis

Download or read book Christ in Crisis written by Jim Wallis and published by HarperCollins. This book was released on 2019-09-24 with total page 336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Writing in response to our current “constitutional crisis,” New York Times bestselling author and Christian activist Jim Wallis urges America to return to the tenets of Jesus once again as the means to save us from the polarizing bitterness and anger of our tribal nation. In Christ in Crisis Jim Wallis provides a path of spiritual healing and solidarity to help us heal the divide separating Americans today. Building on “Reclaiming Jesus”—the declaration he and other church leaders wrote in May 2018 to address America’s current crisis—Wallis argues that Christians have become disconnected from Jesus and need to revisit their spiritual foundations. By pointing to eight questions Jesus asked or is asked, Wallis provides a means to measure whether we are truly aligned with the moral and spiritual foundations of our Christian faith. “Christians have often remembered, re-discovered, and returned to their obedient discipleship of Jesus Christ—both personal and public—in times of trouble. It’s called coming home,” Wallis reminds us. While he addresses the dividing lines and dangers facing our nation, the religious and cultural commentator’s focus isn’t politics; it’s faith. As he has done throughout his career, Wallis offers comfort, empathy, and a practical roadmap. Christ in Crisis is a constructive field guide for all those involved in resistance and renewal initiatives in faith communities in the post-2016 political context.

Book Understanding End Times Prophecy

Download or read book Understanding End Times Prophecy written by Paul Benware and published by Moody Publishers. This book was released on 2006-05-01 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many Christians think of end times prophecy as a gigantic, intimidating puzzle -- difficult to piece together and impossible to figure out. But every puzzle can be solved if you approach it the right way. Paul Benware compares prophecy to a picture puzzle. Putting the edge pieces together first builds the 'framework' that makes it easier to fit the other pieces in their place. According to Benware, the framework for eschatology is the biblical covenants. He begins his comprehensive survey by explaining the major covenants. Then he discusses several different interpretations of end times prophecy. Benware digs into the details of the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the judgements and resurrections, and the millennial kingdom. But he also adds a unique, personal element to the study, answering questions as: -Why study bible prophecy? -What difference does it make if I'm premillenial or amillenial? If what the Bible says about the future puzzles you, Understanding End Times Prophecy will help you put together the pieces and see the big picture.

Book excerpt: This book has been updated to using only the King James Version of the Bible. The original material for this book was written in December 2019 & January 2020, prior to the removal of normalcy from the world, of which I am thankful for that. With such a distraction that COVID-19 has become in our daily lives, I pondered the timing of the book back when it was published in January 2020. Certainly I would not have wanted the book to become skewed with thoughts of the current situation on my mind. In October of 2020 a bonus chapter was written and added to the ministry's website (www.AllWillStand.org). This update to that book includes that chapter The End is Near. In this chapter the argument is made based upon biblical prophecy of why President Trump MUST be a suspect of being the Antichrist. This is not my opinion, this is based upon what the Bible clearly states. As is well known, President Trump lost the election or had it stolen, depending on how you look at things. Whether he runs in 2024 or not is unknown as of this final update to the book (March 2022). The purpose of the book, to show how the Antichrist could rise to power and Christians would not know it, is still as relevant as ever. A verse of interest: "But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end." Daniel 7:26 Could this verse, big question here, possibly suggest that the Supreme Court ruled against President Trump, until the end Regardless of how the future plays out, one thing is certain. Whether or not President Trump remains a suspect of being the Antichrist or not matters little. The simple fact that he can be used as an example of how the Antichrist could rise to power and the church would seemingly not notice it, provides ample evidence of how such a thing could happen. To my Baptist friends, particularly those who are independent, fundamental Baptists, I would ask you a question based upon a premise that you have. You have a correct premise that the Antichrist will come out of Rome, many thinking of the European Union. Well, where is Rome? To that effect I would direct you to a book coauthored with Brandon Schurchardt called The End: A Final Warning to the Inhabitants of the Earth. In that book (which you can get for free off of the website), a compelling case is made that the United States of America is the revived Roman Empire. To close, much could be said about how COVID-19, immunity certificates, etc., could be preparing the world for the mark of the Beast (Rev. 13:16) or even perhaps become the mark of the Beast during the "time of Jacob's trouble" (Jer. 30:7), better known as the Tribulation. Yet the scope of this book is not about that, the above referenced book is. Certainly with the condition of the world, if there was ever a time in the history of mankind to be watching and ready (Luke 12:37-40), this would be it. I don't suppose to have all of the answers, nor can any man, but we do have what we need and that is God's Word to mankind, the Holy Scriptures. Our goal as Believers is not to search for the Antichrist, but to preach the Gospel that people might be Saved. Nonetheless, when a man is rising to power, like Donald Trump, it should certainly be pointed out that he matches the characteristics laid out regarding prophecy about the Antichrist. Seek God before it is too late! "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13 "(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)" 2nd Corinthians 6:2

Book excerpt: President Donald Trump is a man of mystery and intrigue whose destiny remains veiled. Horizontal relationships, be they associates, friends or even family members, are essentially unaware of his true ambitions. Opinions of the "experts", political or otherwise, are of little value -- the blind leading the blind. Trump may have thin skin, but the real person lies beneath an impenetrable veneer. With thought-provoking eloquence, this book divests the man of his mask to uncover who or "what" he truly is. Thousands of years ago, prophets foretold of a coming ruler -- the Man of Sin, the Wicked One. Scripture provides a swath of knowledge detailing his life and character. Inside, the reader will discover an exhaustive treatment of the Bible's prophecies concerning this coming Evil One. With no stone left unturned, the conclusion is clear for those with eyes to see. Unequivocally, President Trump is, indeed, THE ANTICHRIST; the world ruler foretold in the Bible to bring about Armageddon. RISE OF THE LITTLE HORN is not a work of fiction. As the first horseman of The Apocalypse prepares his triumphal entry, a time of reckoning is fast-approaching. This is neither a drill...nor a dream. This is happening. Regardless of whether you choose to believe, your life will, in fact, change. The coming cosmic shift will be independent of your belief in its validity. While unbelief will not alter its course, it may alter yours. As scary as these times are -- fear not, there's hope. (Please note: This book is also available in a Larger Print edition for $18.95. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Academic discourse does not often reference the idea of antichrist, perhaps because it is seen as archaic or as too closely associated with religious fundamentalism. Robert Isaac Skidmore, a depth psychotherapist and an Orthodox priest, argues that antichrist, alongside its theological meaning, designates an aspect of our psychological, social, and political experience that becomes hazardous, especially when ignored or dismissed. Seeing Donald Trump’s cultural and political influence as expressive of an archetypal pattern, Skidmore explores implications of taking the idea of antichrist seriously—in order to lift it toward conscious awareness and responsible use. Christian individuals are asked to reconsider the theological function of the notion of antichrist as a summons to self-scrutiny concerning their fidelity to truth. Readers, religious or not, are invited to awareness of antichrist’s archetypal contours, in order to appreciate its significance for the understanding of psychological and social phenomena and to better understand the implications of its use—including its potential benefits and hazards.

Book excerpt: How is it possible that tens of millions of American Christians could enthusiastically give power to a human being who is, in every way, the opposite of Jesus? You know who that is. Who else could it be? We speak, of course, of Donald John Trump, and the answer is so straightforward that you already know it deep down: He's the Antichrist, straight out of a Tim LaHaye novel. The Antichrist, you say, purpling with outrage and/or rolling your eyes? But c'mon. Duh. Of course he is. How could he be anything less? Through this concise, perfect, beautiful book, the Most Terrible Lucius HaSatan, Esq., Divine Prosecutor (ret.) and Glorious Ruler of All Hell, ascends to your pitiful human realm. He makes the case that in every meaningful way, Donald John Trump meets the criteria that Christianity has established for Hell's most effective agent in the war against the church. In Trump Antichrist you will find: What Christian scriptures say makes the Antichrist an Antichrist; What nihilist and atheist philosopher Frederich Nietzsche says makes the Antichrist an Antichrist; Why Donald J. Trump perfectly embodies both Biblical and Nietzschean traits in his person; How Donald J. Trump has used power as the Antichrist uses power; How Donald J. Trump has beautifully corrupted the soul of American Christianity; Why there is nothing you can do to stop Trump, because, hey, he's the Antichrist! Trump Antichrist is the infernal anointing of Satan's chosen one, straight from the immortal, all-powerful voice of the Accuser himself. It's the book you doomed, hell-bound humans deserve!

Book The Rise of the Antichrist

Download or read book The Rise of the Antichrist written by Lowell B. Hudson and published by Pletho. This book was released on 2018-11-13 with total page 510 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Does the idea of Biblical Prophecy seem ... well, laughingly absurd, galactically improbable? Good! It's supposed to seem that way. In fact, for Biblical prophecy to work properly, its readers have to be highly skeptical. Biblical prophecy requires, even promotes uber-skepticism at times to evoke the intended response in its readers. The credibility of its message, that its words were authored by God, gains increased potency as the highly improbable happens again and again. When the absurdly improbable actually occurs, over and over, in documented, historically verifiable situations, our fundamental assumptions are challenged. We are confronted with the possibility that, on a truly foundational level, everything we thought we knew may really be wrong or radically incomplete. That's what Biblical prophecy is about on a macro level. That's its big idea. Biblical prophecies also seek to warn about particularly important slices of future history. Not because that future can be changed, but so it can be met with integrity and intact faith. This book is obviously focused on those Biblical prophecies involving the Antichrist's rise to power. By using careful time honored traditional methods of Biblical investigation, we'll have a serious and sober look at what the Scriptures really say about this future world ruler. There are also some new discoveries that many would find surprising, even shocking. Now, that's a lot to swallow all at once. That the future is knowable on some level, and that it's going to be so horrible. Why would anyone want to believe this could happen? Deep down, I don't want to believe it. It's so much easier to reject it, than to allow it to threaten your whole frame of reference. That tug of war, that vague unease, that's supposed to happen too. It's Biblical prophecy doing its thing. It takes a lot of guts to consider ideas that have the power to explode your comfortable world view. If you decide to read this book, remember, it's ok to be skeptical. It's absolutely required for a healthy mind. But resist the awful temptation to reject out-of-hand. Aside from being an addictive and lazy habit, it just may deprive you someday of knowing that wonderful excruciating panic of having your mind blown open.

Book The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump

Download or read book The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump written by Bandy X. Lee and published by Thomas Dunne Books. This book was released on 2019-03-19 with total page 382 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As this bestseller predicted, Trump has only grown more erratic and dangerous as the pressures on him mount. This new edition includes new essays bringing the book up to date—because this is still not normal. Originally released in fall 2017, The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump was a runaway bestseller. Alarmed Americans and international onlookers wanted to know: What is wrong with him? That question still plagues us. The Trump administration has proven as chaotic and destructive as its opponents feared, and the man at the center of it all remains a cipher. Constrained by the APA’s “Goldwater rule,” which inhibits mental health professionals from diagnosing public figures they have not personally examined, many of those qualified to weigh in on the issue have shied away from discussing it at all. The public has thus been left to wonder whether he is mad, bad, or both. The prestigious mental health experts who have contributed to the revised and updated version of The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump argue that their moral and civic "duty to warn" supersedes professional neutrality. Whatever affects him, affects the nation: From the trauma people have experienced under the Trump administration to the cult-like characteristics of his followers, he has created unprecedented mental health consequences across our nation and beyond. With eight new essays (about one hundred pages of new material), this edition will cover the dangerous ramifications of Trump's unnatural state. It’s not all in our heads. It’s in his.

Book Naming the Antichrist

Download or read book Naming the Antichrist written by Robert C. Fuller and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 1996-11-21 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Antichrist, though mentioned a mere four times in the Bible, and then only obscurely, has exercised a tight hold on popular imagination throughout history. This has been particularly true in the U.S., says author Robert C. Fuller, where Americans have tended to view our nation as uniquely blessed by God--a belief that leaves us especially prone to demonizing our enemies. In Naming the Antichrist, Fuller takes us on a fascinating journey through the dark side of the American religious psyche, from the earliest American colonists right up to contemporary fundamentalists such as Pat Robertson and Hal Lindsey. Fuller begins by offering a brief history of the idea of the Antichrist and its origins in the apocalyptic thought in the Judeo-Christian tradition, and traces the eventual 71Gws how the colonists saw Antichrist personified in native Americans and French Catholics, in Anne Hutchinson, Roger Williams, and the witches of Salem, in the Church of England and the King. He looks at the Second Great Awakening in the early nineteenth century, showing how such prominent Americans as Yale president Timothy Dwight and the Reverend Jedidiah Morse (father of Samuel Morse) saw the work of the Antichrist in phenomena ranging from the French Revolution to Masonry. In the twentieth century, he finds a startling array of hate-mongers--from Gerald Winrod (who vilified Roosevelt as a pawn of the Antichrist) to the Ku Klux Klan--who drew on apocalyptic imagery in their attacks on Jews, Catholics, blacks, socialists, and others. Finally, Fuller considers contemporary fundamentalist writers such as Hal Lindsey (author of The Late Great Planet Earth, with some 19 million copies sold), Mary Stewart Relfe (whose candidates for the Antichrist have included such figures as Henry Kissinger, Pope John Paul II, and Anwar Sadat), and a host of others who have found Antichrist in the sinister guise of the European Economic Community, the National Council of Churches, feminism, New Age religions, and even supermarket barcodes and fibre optics (the latter functioning as "the eye of the Antichrist"). Throughout, Fuller reveals in vivid detail how our unique American obsession with the Antichrist reflects the struggle to understand ourselves--and our enemies--within the mythic context of the battle of absolute good versus absolute evil. From the Scofield Reference Bible (no other book had greater impact on the American Antichrist tradition) to the Scopes Monkey Trial, Fuller provides an informative and often startling look at a thread that weaves persistently throughout American religious and cultural life.

Book Christians Against Christianity

Download or read book Christians Against Christianity written by Obery M. Hendricks, Jr. and published by Beacon Press. This book was released on 2021-07-06 with total page 234 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A timely and galvanizing work that examines how right-wing evangelical Christians have veered from an admirable faith to a pernicious, destructive ideology. Today’s right-wing Evangelical Christianity stands as the very antithesis of the message of Jesus Christ. In his new book, Christians Against Christianity, best-selling author and religious scholar Obery M. Hendricks Jr. challenges right-wing evangelicals on the terrain of their own religious claims, exposing the falsehoods, contradictions, and misuses of the Bible that are embedded in their rabid homophobia, their poorly veiled racism and demonizing of immigrants and Muslims, and their ungodly alliance with big business against the interests of American workers. He scathingly indicts the religious leaders who helped facilitate the rise of the notoriously unchristian Donald Trump, likening them to the “court jesters” and hypocritical priestly sycophants of bygone eras who unquestioningly supported their sovereigns’ every act, no matter how hateful or destructive to those they were supposed to serve. In the wake of the deadly insurrectionist attack on the US Capitol, Christians Against Christianity is a clarion call to stand up to the hypocrisy of the evangelical Right, as well as a guide for Christians to return their faith to the life-affirming message that Jesus brought and died for. What Hendricks offers is a provocative diagnosis, an urgent warning that right-wing evangelicals’ aspirations for Christian nationalist supremacy are a looming threat, not only to Christian decency but to democracy itself. What they offer to America is anything but good news.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Who was Jesus? And how was this first-century political revolutionary, whose teachings are meant to lead the way to freedom, turned into a meek and mild servant of the status quo? How is it possible to profess a belief in Jesus, yet ignore the suffering of the poor and the needy? Just how truly faithful to the vision of Jesus are the many politicians who claim to be Christian? These are the kinds of questions Obery Hendricks, a biblical scholar, activist, and minister, asks in this provocative new book. In this day and age of heated political debate, Hendricks’s The Politics of Jesus stands out as much for its brilliant re-creation of the life and mind of Jesus of Nazareth as for its scathing critique of modern politicians “of faith.”
