Download or read book Investigations on Target Tracking and Classification Using Multiple Sensor Data Fusion Task II written by and published by . This book was released on 1992 with total page 231 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The goal of this report is to conduct an exhaustive formal literature survey on multisensor data fusion and use the results to conduct performance analyses of the following sensor data fusion subjects: sensor data association & fusion architectures; data association; data fusion; data alignment or registration; target attribute estimation & fusion; application of artificial intelligence techniques; target state estimation analysis; and target model (type of maneuver) identification analysis. The different analysis approaches published in the surveyed literature are identified for each of the above subjects, and relative merits and trade-offs between these approaches are evaluated. The analyses focus on those approaches which could be pertinent to a naval platform employing dissimilar and non-imaging sensors. Includes glossary.

Book Investigations on Target Tracking and Classification Using Multiple Sensor Data Fusion Task IV

Download or read book Investigations on Target Tracking and Classification Using Multiple Sensor Data Fusion Task IV written by and published by . This book was released on 1992 with total page 91 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The analyses in the first part of this report are aimed at developing an understanding of hardware & software implementation issues for a high performance fusion function within the Anti Air Warfare (AAW) frigate. The AN/UYK-507 CB computer is selected for the study of the general purpose processor implementations. An extended parallel processing architecture, capable of executing about 100 million operations per second, is proposed within the militarized version of this computer for the study of the parallel processing implementations. A central level fusion function using the multi-hypothesis tracking method is selected for the study of benchmark algorithm implementations and an appendix shows how to estimate the number of mathematical operations required to perform some tasks of the multisensor data fusion functions. The analyses in the second part focusses mainly on the man-machine interface & human factors issues of an AAW frigate employing the central-level fusion function using the method discussed in the first part.

Book Computational Science ICCS 2004

Download or read book Computational Science ICCS 2004 written by Marian Bubak and published by Springer. This book was released on 2004-10-11 with total page 1336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The International Conference on Computational Science (ICCS 2004) held in Krak ́ ow, Poland, June 6–9, 2004, was a follow-up to the highly successful ICCS 2003 held at two locations, in Melbourne, Australia and St. Petersburg, Russia; ICCS 2002 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands; and ICCS 2001 in San Francisco, USA. As computational science is still evolving in its quest for subjects of inves- gation and e?cient methods, ICCS 2004 was devised as a forum for scientists from mathematics and computer science, as the basic computing disciplines and application areas, interested in advanced computational methods for physics, chemistry, life sciences, engineering, arts and humanities, as well as computer system vendors and software developers. The main objective of this conference was to discuss problems and solutions in all areas, to identify new issues, to shape future directions of research, and to help users apply various advanced computational techniques. The event harvested recent developments in com- tationalgridsandnextgenerationcomputingsystems, tools, advancednumerical methods, data-driven systems, and novel application ?elds, such as complex - stems, ?nance, econo-physics and population evolution.

Book Estimation with Applications to Tracking and Navigation

Download or read book Estimation with Applications to Tracking and Navigation written by Yaakov Bar-Shalom and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2004-04-05 with total page 583 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Expert coverage of the design and implementation of state estimation algorithms for tracking and navigation Estimation with Applications to Tracking and Navigation treats the estimation of various quantities from inherently inaccurate remote observations.
