Dans cette thèse, nous avons étudié des reconstructions tridimensionnelles de scanners sinusiens de patients atteints d'une balle fongique afin de rechercher si un volume sinusien était corrélé à l'apparition de cette pathologie. MATERIELS ET METHODES : Nous avons inclus dans cette étude rétrospective l'ensemble des patients pris en charge dans notre instruction pour une balle fongique entre 2008 et 2012. Les reconstructions sinusiennes ont été réalisées à l'aide du logiciel Avizo® 6.0. RESULTATS : 44 patients ont té inclus dans l'étude (29 femmes et 15 hommes). L'âge moyen était de 54,5 ans. Le volume moyen était de 17 876 mm3 pour les sinus sains et de 14 089 mm3 pour les sinus pathologiques. Le coté atteint est celui du plus petit sinus maxillaire pour 41 patients (93%). In AVMs these features are considered as they relate to the clinical presen tation, progression, and natural history of the lesion. All these factors must then be combined with an understanding of technical capabilities to for mulate a pretherapeutic plan designed to favorably affect the long term out come in the individual patient. Endovascular surgery of spinal cord AVMs has become the treatment of choice, while microsurgery is reserved for those cases where embolization fails. Endovascular surgery may be the sole form of treatment, or may be combined with other therapeutic modalities including surgery, chemothera py, or radiation in cases of neoplasms, or may be palliative, to decrease pain or spinal cord compression. As in all other areas a multidisciplinary ap proach is essential for decision making to best accomplish the desired ob jectives.
