En este ambiente tan global, tenemos que ver que nuestro competidor puede estar en cualquier parte del mundo y que cada uno de ellos está haciendo lo posible por obtener más clientes cada día, saben que los clientes están buscando formas de reducir sus costos de operación a través de toda la Cadena de Suministro, así como también reducir sus tiempos de ciclo y mejorar la disponibilidad de los productos. La intención de esta tesis es definir un procedimiento para el análisis y la mejora de la productividad de una línea de producción, manteniendo el nivel más bajo de inventario. Este proyecto de tesis está estructurado de la siguiente manera: Capítulo II se indica el planteamiento del problema. La revisión de la literatura de los conceptos de Sistemas de Producción, Sistemas Pull y MVA (Mean Value Analysis) son explicadas a detalle en el Capítulo II. En el Capítulo III se describe la situación actual de la línea de producción bajo análisis. En el Capítulo IV se presenta las propuestas de mejora. Las conclusiones de este trabajo son mostradas en el Capítulo V.

The first is a risk assessment problem. The second relates to risk management. This book provides background on the risks relevant in water systems planning, the different approaches to scenario definition in water system planning, and an introduction to the decision-scaling methodology upon which the decision tree is based. The decision tree is described as a scientifically defensible, repeatable, direct and clear method for demonstrating the robustness of a project to climate change. While applicable to all water resources projects, it allocates effort to projects in a way that is consistent with their potential sensitivity to climate risk. The process was designed to be hierarchical, with different stages or phases of analysis triggered based on the findings of the previous phase. An application example is provided followed by a descriptions of some of the tools available for decision making under uncertainty and methods available for climate risk management. The tool was designed for the World Bank but can be applicable in other scenarios where similar challenges arise.
