Book Not Afraid of the Antichrist

Download or read book Not Afraid of the Antichrist written by Michael L. Brown and published by Chosen Books. This book was released on 2019-03-19 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Despite the popular theology of our day, Christians should not expect to get out of experiencing the tribulation or the end times. Nowhere in the Bible does the Lord promise us this, say Michael Brown and Craig Keener, two leading, acclaimed Bible scholars. In fact, they say, Jesus promises us tribulation in this world. Yet this is no reason to fear. In this fascinating, accessible, and personal book, Brown and Keener walk you through what the Bible really says about the rapture, the tribulation, and the end times. What they find will leave you full of hope. God's wrath is not poured out on His people, and He will shield us from it--as he shielded Israel in Egypt during the ten plagues. So instead of taking comfort in what God hasn't promised, take comfort in the words of Jesus: He has overcome the world, and we live in his victory.

Book excerpt: The Bible's prophesies about the end-times can baffle even the most voracious Bible scholars and theologians. Their surreal symbolic imagery and convoluted timelines cause many Christians to make the appalling decision to avoid reading them all together, wrongly believing that they cannot be understood and/or don't apply to them. Rapture Fusion highlights the critical importance that every Christian read and understand end-times prophesy, as it does apply to every believer and can be systematically dissected to reveal a consistent and coherent timeline and description of future events. If you want to understand the most common schools of thought on the end-times and what the Bible really has to say concerning the tribulation, rapture, second-coming, millennium, and more, this thorough and scripture-based exploration of end-times prophesy is for you.

Book Understanding End Times Prophecy

Download or read book Understanding End Times Prophecy written by Paul Benware and published by Moody Publishers. This book was released on 2006-05-01 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many Christians think of end times prophecy as a gigantic, intimidating puzzle -- difficult to piece together and impossible to figure out. But every puzzle can be solved if you approach it the right way. Paul Benware compares prophecy to a picture puzzle. Putting the edge pieces together first builds the 'framework' that makes it easier to fit the other pieces in their place. According to Benware, the framework for eschatology is the biblical covenants. He begins his comprehensive survey by explaining the major covenants. Then he discusses several different interpretations of end times prophecy. Benware digs into the details of the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the judgements and resurrections, and the millennial kingdom. But he also adds a unique, personal element to the study, answering questions as: -Why study bible prophecy? -What difference does it make if I'm premillenial or amillenial? If what the Bible says about the future puzzles you, Understanding End Times Prophecy will help you put together the pieces and see the big picture.

After working with people as a psychologist for four decades, author Larry Crabb invites you to explore the Bible in a new way. He offers a fresh, relational look at Scripture through intimate discussions with God. Told through a series of "conversations" between himself and God, Larry wrestles through what God intends us to understand in each of the 66 books of the Bible. Each book tells a story that is a part of a larger one of God and how He loves His people. Perfect for a small group, bible study, or used as a daily devotional, Larry asks deeply honest questions such as: “God, what is it you wanted me to see in Obadiah?” “And what’s up with Leviticus? Is there anything there for me?” “This one verse in Galatians has always frustrated me. Why is that?” “The way you wrote Revelation makes it difficult to understand—why didn’t you just describe what will happen in a straightforward way?” Listen to the story of God unfold through these chapters, and you’ll find not only His redeeming love, but His plan and provision designed especially for you. Though life may not be going according to your plan, God has another one, far better than you can imagine. From Genesis to Revelation, experience His invitation to get you dancing with joy.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Things to know about the Great Tribulation:The Antichrist is not the author of the events in the tribulation. He's manipulating them. Most deaths in the tribulation will not be at the hands of the Antichrist (Rev. 6:8, 9:13-15, 18).Most Christians who die in the Great Tribulation will not be martyred/beheaded (Rev. 6:8, 9:18).The mark of the beast will affect the merchants not the consumers (Rev. 18:3, 11, 15, 21).The consequences for refusing the mark of the beast is not death (Rev. 13:16-17) but restriction from participating in the Antichrist's one-world commerce system wherein all the participates will become rich. One will not be forced to choose between salvation and starvation (Matt. 6:25, 31, 33).A single act of taking the mark of the beast is just as forgivable in the tribulation as tattoos of Satan are today. (See the combination of unforgivable acts of worship in Revelation 14:9-11.)Many will worship the beast or his image or take his mark and be forgiven. It's the combination of those three acts that's unforgivable. (See the same principle in Romans 10:9 as it applies to eternal life.)Those who miss the rapture are not at the mercy of the Antichrist (Rom. 5:20).The word of God and the Holy Spirit are both present during the tribulation (Matt. 24:35; John14:16-17, 26).Salvation will be just as accessible in the tribulation as it is in the church dispensation (Matt. 18:20, 24:3; Heb. 13:5; Rev. 7:4, 11:3, 14:6).The opening of the seals is not God releasing his judgment in the Great Tribulation but the consequences of humanities accumulated behavior (Gal. 6:7).Satan does not have the authority ability or power to give life to anything (John 10:9-10; Acts 17:25-26, 28).The terms "before the foundation of the world," "predestination," "the Lamb's Book of Life" are all expressing the eternal state. Eliminate either of these conditions or positions from the plane of salvation, and there's no eternal life These terms are never associated with sin or sinners (Rom. 8:29; Eph. 1:5, 11; Rev. 13:8, 17:8, 21:9, 27).

Book The Time of the End The 10 Year Tribulation Period and The Conditional Rapture of Tribulation Saints

Download or read book The Time of the End The 10 Year Tribulation Period and The Conditional Rapture of Tribulation Saints written by Matthew S Crane and published by Matthew S Crane. This book was released on 2017-11-01 with total page 152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of the most popular and hotly debated topics in recent years has been the subject of what is commonly called “The Tribulation Period”. Theories, speculations, and predictions abound as to when this apocalyptic time begins and who will be a part of it. Some Bible teachers insist that Christians who have been born again during the “Church Age” will have no part whatsoever in this time while others teach that it is the Church’s prophesied destiny to endure to the end and wait for the cataclysmic 2nd coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Which one is right? Which one is wrong? The one thing that all current theories seem to have in common is an abundance of inconsistencies and missing pieces. This book seeks to explain many of the obscure passages in Scripture that seem to have been misunderstood and misapplied for the last two thousand years and bring to light a couple of important truths that have been right in front of us all along, which when properly understood, bring consistency to the puzzle of prophecy and causes many of the hitherto difficult pieces to fit.

Book The Great Tribulation

    Book Details:
  • Author : George Gutchess
  • Publisher : WestBow Press
  • Release : 2014-10-15
  • ISBN : 1490835202
  • Pages : 241 pages

Download or read book The Great Tribulation written by George Gutchess and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2014-10-15 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many Bible teachers today are proclaiming that Christ will come at any moment to take the Christians to heaven, leaving the non-Christians behind to endure seven years of great tribulation. Others teach that Christ came spiritually in AD 70, when the city of Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans. Is there any other view? Here is an older interpretation that was commonly held before those which prevail today. The first part of The Great Tribulation is a verse-by-verse commentary on Matthew 24 written in readable, nontechnical style. The second part of the book contains nine articles related to the second coming of Christ and end-time events. The Great Tribulation provides insight on these questions: What does Matthew 24 really teach? Will Christs coming be in two stages? Does Daniel teach that there will be a seven-year tribulation? Who is the antichrist, and will he appear in a rebuilt temple? What is the abomination of desolation? Was the kingdom of God postponed? Will there be a thousand-year period called the millennium? Will some be taken and others left behind? What is the generation that Christ spoke of that is going to see it all?
