Leur prise en charge est pluridisciplinaire, elle nécessite une hospitalisation dans un établissement spécialisé suivant l'état clinique du patient. Le livret thérapeutique restreint le choix des médicaments disponibles au sein des hôpitaux. L'objectif de cette étude est de quantifier l'effet du livret thérapeutique des hôpitaux de santé mentale sur la consommation des psychotropes en ville. Matériel et méthode : La consommation en ville des médicaments psychotropes a été recueillie auprès des officines situées autour des centres hospitaliers participants entre 2014 et 2016. Un modèle économétrique sur données de panel a été élaboré en prenant compte les caractéristiques du médicament, la zone géographique et l'effet temporel des consommations. Résultat : Les résultats portent sur une étude de 97 médicaments dont 56% sont au livret des trois hôpitaux. Le modèle économétrique montre que la consommation dè ville des médicaments au livret de l'hôpital est supérieure à ceux qui ne le sont pas. Le différentiel de consommation entre les médicaments listés et non listés est de 78.4% pour les antipsychotiques, 25.7% pour les antidépresseurs, 11.1% pour les hypnotiques et 2.5% pour les anxiolytiques. Discussion/Conclusion : Le livret thérapeutique des établissements de santé a un effet sur la consommation des médicaments en ville avec un effet plus important pour les antipsychotiques qui est une classe à visée hospitalière compte tenue de la prise en charge de la schizophrénie.
