Download or read book Emotional Life written by Daniele Bruzzone and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2024-01-10 with total page 94 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The human heart is, in many ways, an indecipherable enigma. The opposition of reason and passion has long prevented us from recognizing emotions and feelings as legitimate sources of knowledge. This book takes a deep dive into the rich phenomenology of affect, with a view to uncovering its essence and variety of forms: the experience of being “invaded” by an emotion is different to that of being “immersed” in a mood, just as being “guided” by a feeling does not mean being “swept away” by a passionate impulse. Hence the need for a systematic phenomenology of emotionality that can help us to appreciate such distinctions. The philosophical and pedagogical trajectory outlined in these pages provides education and healthcare practitioners – and indeed all those willing to improve their self-knowledge – with the key to a deeper understanding of the emotional life and its meaning for our existence.
Download or read book Beyond Nihilism written by Chiara Di Marco and published by Mimesis. This book was released on 2016-06-27T00:00:00+02:00 with total page 132 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nihilism and/or community. The European Question. The gift of the in-common. Touching on different themes and authors, the papers presented here probe the prolificness that the terms sacred and community could have – if subtracted from the game of reactive nihilism – in checking the violence of the diverse political and religious ideologies that the West administers. An escape opens in the implementation of critical thinking and ethical behaviour that involves the “sacrifice” of thought and of the thinking subject. The disputing of all the semantics of the logic of the recognition and the convenience that regulate life in advanced democracies.

Download or read book Spontaneity written by Gemma Corradi Fiumara and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2009-03-25 with total page 158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Psychoanalytic theory frequently explains psychopathology from the perspective of either inadequate early care or as the result of environmental factors. In this book the author suggests that poor mental health can be a result of our incapacity to respond to internal and external stimuli, and indicates that spontaneity is essential in the development of many aspects of the self. It is not what happens to us, but how we react to events, that forms who we are. Spontaneity presents an original approach to issues of agency, spontaneity and creativity in psychoanalysis by exploring questions including: active internalisation paradox forgiveness responsibility empathy self de-creation. This book will be essential reading for psychoanalysts, psychotherapists, philosophers and psychologists. It will also prove to be engaging for those interested in psychoanalytic theory and theories of subjectivity.

Download or read book Phenomenology of Space and Time written by Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2014-02-03 with total page 351 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This work celebrates the investigative power of phenomenology to explore the phenomenological sense of space and time in conjunction with the phenomenology of intentionality, the invisible, the sacred, and the mystical. It examines the course of life through its ontopoietic genesis, opening the cosmic sphere to logos. The work also explores, on the one hand, the intellectual drive to locate our cosmic position in the universe and, on the other, the pull toward the infinite. It intertwines science and its grounding principles with imagination in order to make sense of the infinite. This book is the second of a two-part work that contains papers presented at the 62nd International Congress of Phenomenology, The Forces of the Cosmos and the Ontopoietic Genesis of Life, held in Paris, France, August 2012. It features the work of scholars in such diverse disciplines as biology, anthropology, pedagogy, and psychology who philosophically investigate the cosmic origins of beingness. Coverage in this second part includes: Communicative Virtues of A-T. Tymieniecka’s Phenomenology of Life, Intentionality of Time and Quantum – Phenomenological Sense of Space, Consciousness of the Cosmos: A Thought Experiment Through Philosophy and Science Fiction, The Cosmos and Bodily Life on Earth Elucidated within the Historicity of Human Existence, Novel as Path - Mamardashvili's Lectures on Proust, and Comments on Max Scheler's Thought and Philosophical Counseling.

Download or read book Nietzsche dal profondo per l indipendenza emotiva written by VINCENZO ISAIA and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2013-04-15 with total page 142 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. V.ISAIA
Download or read book Intercultural Competences for Vocational Education and Training written by Filippo Bignami and published by EGEA spa. This book was released on 2014-11-19T00:00:00+01:00 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In a globalized world characterized by transnational migration flows as an inevitable consequence of the increased mobility of individuals, coping with differences and with cultural discontinuity has become the main challenge in the education and training sector at all levels. This book is addressed to professionals in vocational education and training in an attempt to provide suggestions on innovative methods and intercultural approaches for inclusive, continuous education. Starting from the achievements of the I-VET European project, led by an international consortium of Universities and training organizations, the book traces the broad, multi-disciplinary epistemological framework underlying the proposed innovative methodology, based on experiential learning and reflective practice and the didactic choices piloted with a group of VET teachers and trainers. The focus is intercultural competence achieved through a situated and contextualized exercise of awareness about the specific situations in which differences emerge, and mutual adjustment between different frameworks, in full accordance with the constructionist approach to social interaction at the basis of the whole study.
Download or read book Controversies and Interdisciplinarity written by Jens Allwood and published by John Benjamins Publishing Company. This book was released on 2020-10-15 with total page 287 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nowadays, the forms assumed by knowledge indicate an unhinging of traditional structures conceived on the model of discipline. Consequently, what was once strictly disciplinary becomes interdisciplinary, what was homogeneous becomes heterogeneous and what was hierarchical becomes heterarchical. When we look for a matrix of interdisciplinarity, that is to say, a primary basis or an essential dimension of all the complex phenomena we are surrounded by, we see the need to break with the disciplinary self-restraint in which, often completely inadvertently, many of us lock ourselves up, remaining anchored to our own competences, ignoring what goes beyond our own sphere of reference. However, interdisciplinarity is still a vague concept and a much demanding practice. It presupposes the continuous search for convergent theoretical perspectives and methodologies, and the definition of common spaces and languages, as well as a true dialogical and open mind of several scholars. From ethics to science, from communication to medicine, from climate change to human evolution the volume Controversies and Interdisciplinarity offers a series of original insights beyond disciplinary fragmentation for a new knowledge model.
Download or read book Il senso della vita written by antro poetico and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2011-03-17 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Vivere la Speranza written by Pierpaolo Barnieri and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2014-08-04 with total page 166 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Download or read book Ai piedi dell ambasciatore Lezioni written by Giovanni Scarafile and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2012-03-19 with total page 113 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Download or read book Rosmini s Suspended Middle written by Fernando Bellelli and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2024-01-10 with total page 425 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Antonio Rosmini (1797–1855) was a genius who combined science and sanctity. His contribution turns on the theory of the suspended middle of the original relationship between the natural and the supernatural, which he experienced and elaborated. The device of the relationship between the original metaphysical-affective-symbolic structure of the believing conscience and the affective turn in metaphysics, intrinsically linked to his trinitarian ontology, allowed Rosmini to elaborate theories and epistemologies from a unitary perspective in various fields of knowledge. This volume indicates the implications of the unbreakable bond between Rosmini’s philosophy and theology in disciplines such as pedagogical science, political science, and juridical science. Following the favorable resolution of the “Rosminian question” the Catholic Church beatified Rosmini in 2007 and in 2018 indicated his theoretical-practical approach as a universal education model to be followed. Through essays by major experts in Rosmini’s thought, this curatorship offers an international public a brief, reasoned overview of Rosmini’s thinking on these disciplines, finally translated into English, so that this perspective can be understood and explored with particular regard to the possibility of encouraging ecumenical comparison between Rosmini’s suspended middle and, for example, that of Radical Orthodoxy.
