Book A Vision Reflections of Scriptural Guidance

Download or read book A Vision Reflections of Scriptural Guidance written by Marien Byrne MS.Ed. and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2024-03-05 with total page 113 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is an inspiration to many who may have lost their way. Are you searching for absolute, truth for a foundation to live your life? Sometimes it takes a tragedy, or a personal lose, a changing event that brings you to your knees. Are you searching for someone far greater than yourself? Search no longer come back to the one who can save you from sin and walk in the way of the Lord. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6. The uncertainties I face at this time deepened my increasing closeness with God. The Bible Verses that kept catching my attention, now comforts me, “For ye shall go out in joy and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.” Isaiah 55:12; “Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105. And in the same way, let your light shine before men, that they can see your good works and give glory to your Father in Heaven. Matthew 5:16. There is a tugging at my heart to write this book. As my journey comes closer to God in Heaven I lean on Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit within me.

Book excerpt: A witty, often satirical, A-Z medical encyclopedia, written by doctor and broadcaster, Michael O’Donnell whose barefaced approach to medicine is often serious but never solemn, and always entertaining. From an early age – his father was a GP in a Yorkshire mining village – Michael O’Donnell was aware of the oddities, uncertainties, life-affirming surprises and black comedy that make the practice of medicine so rewarding. His observations were enhanced when he worked as a GP in the ‘gilded south’ before becoming editor of World Medicine, rebel in residence on the General Medical Council, international medical journalist, and writer and presenter of over 100 television and radio medical documentaries.Inspired by a lifelong exposure to medical culture, and with tongue firmly in cheek, Michael defines, dissects and discusses a vast range of topics in his latest book. Including:• Arcanian: The approved language for discourse between politicians, NHS managers, and interdisciplinary in-depth strategic thinkers seeking to roll out a raft of innovative frameworks• Data: Information published in medical journals in lieu of thought.• Doubt: Apart from death, the only certainty in medicine.• Herbaceous fever: Obsessional state induced by overexposure to television gardening programmes.• Modernising the NHS: Striving earnestly to fix that which does not need fixing while not fixing that which does. • Patients: Quirky individuals put on this earth to thwart the plans of clear-thinking, well-meaning nurses, doctors, and health administrators. • Socialised medicine: Phrase US citizens use to denounce any healthcare system more equitable than their own.• Superstition: The irrational beliefs of other people. Our own irrational beliefs we call Faith

Book excerpt: What happens when a former Zen Buddhist monk and his feminist wife experience an apparition of the Virgin Mary? “This book could not have come at a more auspicious time, and the message is mystical perfection, not to mention a courageous one. I adore this book.”—Caroline Myss, author of Anatomy of the Spirit Before a vision of a mysterious “Lady” invited Clark Strand and Perdita Finn to pray the rosary, they were not only uninterested in becoming Catholic but finished with institutional religion altogether. Their main spiritual concerns were the fate of the planet and the future of their children and grandchildren in an age of ecological collapse. But this Lady barely even referred to the Church and its proscriptions. Instead, she spoke of the miraculous power of the rosary to transform lives and heal the planet, and revealed the secrets she had hidden within the rosary’s prayers and mysteries—secrets of a past age when forests were the only cathedrals and people wove rose garlands for a Mother whose loving presence was as close as the ground beneath their feet. She told Strand and Finn: The rosary is My body, and My body is the body of the world. Your body is one with that body. What cause could there be for fear? Weaving together their own remarkable story of how they came to the rosary, their discoveries about the eco-feminist wisdom at the heart of this ancient devotion, and the life-changing revelations of the Lady herself, the authors reveal an ancestral path—available to everyone, religious or not—that returns us to the powerful healing rhythms of the natural world.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is a mistake. I say so not because it is, but as it has been tailored that way. Of course, at first glance it’s nothing but Odd, if not comical, challenging the common traditional format. However, sometimes it takes intentional mistakes to stand out from the crowd. That’s what makes it special. Fragments of Sorrow tempts you to delve deep into a world where words bloom among the pages and emotions lingers in the space between lines, experiencing from a different perspective. Each poem and epigram are a window offering glimpses of love, loss, hope and introspection. As you travel through the pages you will encounter themes ranging from beauty of nature to the complexity of human relationships, from the quite moments of tumultuous storm passion, through lyrical language and though-provoking imageries. Whether you are a seasoned poetry enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, the wordsmith’s aim is to captivate your heart, challenging your mind. Nevertheless, to leave you breathless with its beauty and depth through this book which is intentionally a mistake to be that way.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My Story, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, is a human and personal story. Patricia's Memoir covers much of her life, and of the Twentieth Century, including the Post War Years, seen from a young person's perspective. This account of her early life is vivid, it will make you laugh, and it will make you cry. The style is conversational, and is all the more credible for it's lack of exaggeration. This is a straightforward story, well told. It tells of amazing Divine Interventions, of Spiritual Guides, Helpers and Guardian Angels, who have accompanied Patricia through every step of her journey. This book will give hope and comfort to the bereaved, the sick and the lonely. Patricia sadly lost her beloved Husband Ken in October 2009, after a very happy marriage lasting 54 years. This book is almost a poem to Ken. But he has never left her, for there isn no death, as her story will prove. This is a moving memorial to a fine man in Ken, a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother. Gratitude is the heart's memory, and my heart remembers.

Together we will consider the importance of what happens when one’s life is decimated by control in the name of religion.
