Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Islamic concept of salvation differs from that of other religions, and from Christianity in particular, because Islam rejects the concept of Original Sin and declares man to be responsible only for his own sins. He, therefore, needs to free himself from his own sins in order to attain salvation. In this article, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Promised Messiah(as) answers the all-important question, why does man commits sin, and how can he free himself from it. The Promised Messiah(as) also argues that a true religion must be judged by its ability to lead its followers to certainty about the existence of God. The holy author makes a detailed comparison between Islam and other major religions, and concludes that Islam alone can lead man to perfect awareness and, consequently, to freedom from sin. The first English translation of this article was published under the title How to get rid of the Bondage of Sin, in the English edition of The Review of Religions, January 1902. The current translation has been prepared by Wakalat Tasnif, Rabwah.

Download or read book It Is God That Justifieth written by Ock Soo Park and published by 펜립. This book was released on 2020-06-25 with total page 347 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Online Bible seminar was hosted on May of 2020, as on-site services and conferences became difficult due to COVID-19. With its surprisingly enthusiastic response, sermons were translated in 26 different languages and being televised to possibly 1 billion viewers worldwide through 248 broadcasting stations in 94 countries. The sermons from the eleven sessions, totaling about 990 minutes and receiving countless comments, is now a published book. Faith does not refer to a devotion of heart nor to give effort to accomplish something. It refers to accepting the works which Jesus did for us. Jesus was crucified on the cross, and He has already washed away our sins. Unfortunately, there are still many Christians bound to sin saying, “Lord, I’m a sinner. Please forgive me of this sin.” This book points to many scriptures in the Bible which testify the truth that Jesus has already taken care of our sins, forever. And it explains how we became righteous forever. Using extensive and deep knowledge of the Bible as the basis, this book explains spiritual life in a precise manner, causing people to automatically proclaim, “Ah, I truly understand!” Within the pages of this book, you will discover the vast and deep love of God towards you, and the amazing grace God has bestowed upon everyone. You will also come to discover just how blessed and glorious of a new creature God has made us. Readers will be filled with happiness, as if they discovered the treasure in the field.

Book Freedom From The Sin of Adultery And Fornication

Download or read book Freedom From The Sin of Adultery And Fornication written by Zacharias Tanee Fomum and published by ZTF Books Online. This book was released on 2016-06-15 with total page 175 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although the fourteen books in this series are complementary and help the reader to have a more complete view of the theme, each book is complete in its own right and should be read for the profit of it. Although the books are rooted in the Word of God, they are written, not merely to help readers to know God’s point of view on the issues discussed, but also to lead the believer beyond theoretical understanding into spiritual experience; for sanctification is ultimately not merely a doctrine but an experience. My prayer for you is that, the One who “chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him” (Ephesians 1:4), should work mightily in you as you read, working in you and through you, so that you may enter into and make progress in the life of sanctification. May the Lord bless you exceedingly!

Book Three Free Sins

  • Publisher : Simon and Schuster
  • Release : 2012-02-07
  • ISBN : 1451612303
  • Pages : 200 pages

Download or read book Three Free Sins written by Steve Brown and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2012-02-07 with total page 200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Hilarious, honest, and full of the hard-won wisdom...At its core is this truth: real change only happens when we realize God loves us whether we change or not.” —Susan E. Isaacs, author of Angry Conversations With God From a popular pastor and radio host—Three Free Sins teaches that the only people who make any progress toward being better are those who know that God will still love them, regardless of how good they are. This book is about the misguided obsession with the management of sin that cripples too many Christians. It’s about the view that religion is all about sin…about how to hide side sin or how to stop sinning all together. In the Introduction, the author toys good-naturedly with an agitated caller on his radio program, teasing him in a segment where he offers three free sins. The offer is real. Not that Steve has the power to forgive sins, but he wants to make the point that Jesus has made the offer to cover all of our sins – not just three. Chapter one, titled “Teaching Frogs to Fly,” is even better. The gist of this chapter is that you can’t teach frogs to fly, just like you can’t teach people not to sin. Steve tells a story about a guy who has a frog, and he’s convinced he can teach the frog how to fly. The man keeps throwing the frog up in the air or up against walls – all to the poor frog’s demise. The message is that even though people can be better, they can never not sin—just like a frog can never learn to fly, no matter how much pressure is put on it. Steve continues through the book to show readers that while they can never manage sin, they can relax in knowing that they are completely forgiven—not just of three, but of all.

Download or read book Practicing the Power written by Sam Storms and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2017-02-07 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Bible teaches us that we are to be filled with God's Spirit and that God's presence and grace is manifested among his people as they serve, love, and minister to one another. Yet some of the gifts that God offers to his people aren't commonly seen in many churches today. Gifts of prophecy, healing, tongues, and other supernatural gifts of God seem to be absent, and many Christians are unsure how to cultivate an atmosphere where God's Spirit can work while remaining committed to the foundational truth of God's Word. How can Christians pursue and implement the miraculous gifts of the Spirit without falling into fanatical excess and splitting the church in the process? In Practicing the Power, pastor and author Sam Storms offers practical steps to understanding and exercising spiritual gifts in a way that remains grounded in the word and centered in the gospel. With examples drawn from his forty years of ministry as a pastor and teachers, Storms offers a guidebook that can help pastors, elders, and church members understand what changes are needed to see God move in supernatural power and to guard against excess and abuse of the spiritual gifts. If you long to see God's Spirit move in your church and life, and aren't sure why that isn't happening or where to begin, this book is for you.

Godliness, we are told, is contrary to the selfish spirit that moves the world, the flesh and the devil, in that it seeks to do everything for the glory of Christ. Stuart Olyott shows us that godliness is a moral and not a mystical quality; it is the fruit of union with Christ; it results in glad obedience to a new master and, although this will result in loss and suffering in this life, it anticipates the future glory of heaven which awaits every believer. An essential read for all who wish to live godly lives in Christ Jesus.

Book excerpt: Killing Sin is John Owen's Puritan classic Mortification of Sin updated for today. Owen tackles the age-old challenge for the Christian: how to put to death the power of sin over our lives. This is something that is impossible through man-centered self-help or self-denial. But with God all things are possible. Though we will never be completely free of sin while alive in this world, by putting our faith on Christ with an expectation of His help, the Holy Spirit will bring the His cross into our hearts with all its sin-killing power. Owen tells us why it is imperative for the Christian to be killing sin in his life, what it actually means to kill sin, why only a Christian can do it, why it is only possible through the power of the Holy Spirit, and how we can avail ourselves of the power of the Spirit to kill sin through gospel faith in the death and resurrection of Christ. Owen's original Mortification of Sin was written in 17th century English that is extremely difficult to understand. This Killing Sin translates Owen into contemporary English that is easy to read without dumbing it down so people today can read this very important book on a most critical topic.
