This was in reference to suggestions made by Lee when he was denied the opportunity to lead the army against the Northwest Indians. Encloses the Attorney General's opinion (not included) relative to the civil prosecution against Wilkinson in the Northwest Territory, and which I make no doubt you will pay due respect.
