Download or read book Firefly Magic written by Lauren Sapala and published by Lauren Sapala. This book was released on 2018-04-30 with total page 218 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Lauren Sapala coached Highly Sensitive Writers for years before she discovered one of the biggest obstacles holding them back in their writing careers: a rock-solid resistance to marketing. Regardless of the wealth of book marketing tools and resources available to writers and artists today, most highly creative people still feel suspicious, confused, or just plain turned off by marketing and sales. The hidden reason behind this resistance is a deeply rooted fear that marketing for writers always results in a loss of integrity for the writer. Almost all highly creative people are also Highly Sensitive People, many of which are INFJ or INFP personality types. These Highly Sensitive Writers feel any possible threat to their integrity intensely. The fear they feel around marketing takes root in limiting beliefs that shut them down before they even begin. Lauren Sapala shares stories and strategies to help Highly Sensitive Writers shift their mindset and open up to new ways to promote their work. She helps all writers realize that—due to their Highly Sensitive nature—they might just make the best salespeople of all.

Download or read book Power of Popular Piety written by Ambrose Mong and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2019-03-04 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book examines the ambivalence of folk Catholicism as a resource to fight against injustice, exploitation, and oppression. Cases are cited to illuminate the value and potential trespasses of popular religious beliefs and practices. Over centuries, representatives of the powerful middle and upper middle classes did not hesitate to manipulate popular piety to protect their power and privileges. In fact, much of popular religion still reflects the dominant ideology. Popular piety has the potential for liberation against unjust social and economic structures. When properly guided, this practice can broaden and deepen political consciousness and mobilize people to act. Without a strong level of political consciousness as well as liberative evangelization, popular religion will be alienating to the poor while strengthening the status quo of the rich and the powerful. This study argues that it will be the elites, the well-educated and committed Christians, not the masses, who would foster the transformation of society.

Download or read book Mastering Method Selling written by James Rankin and published by eBookIt.com. This book was released on 1901 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Selling as art is the underlying theme of a new book from one of America's most prolific sales professionals, James M. Rankin. Grounded in the artistic principles of Method Acting, Rankin's, The Magic of Method Selling teases out the evolutionary concepts applicable to selling and presents them in a lively, informative, and usable fashion. The author's enthusiasm and desire to motivate sales professionals energizes every page with a fast-paced presentation that keeps reader eagerly turning the pages. Rankin's unique approach is drawn from the life-long work of Russian acting teacher and director, Constantin Stanislavski whose famous Method Acting techniques endure through the nearly 80 years since his death. The author's model for sales success reflects Stanislavski's deep belief in the importance of liberating the innate creative processes of human being, allowing them to fully develop the realism necessary for successful performance. The Magic of Method Selling posits each sales presentation as a performance that must be fresh and new every time the salesperson is "on stage". The notion that a system I used on "acting" techniques is a reliable basis for successful sales performance is a novel proposition. Reader of The Magic of Method Selling may be pleasantly surprised as they follow Rankin through an easy-to-follow demonstration of the correlations between Method Acting and Method Selling from the initial preparations through the final presentation. Profoundly embracing the power of mental attitude, Rankin wraps attitudes around realistic action for salespeople to incorporate into their sales development repertoire. He overtly takes a "whole person" approach to developing a successful sales persona, emphasizing the interrelatedness between mental and physical activities that leads to a closed sale.
