At the Great Exhibition in 1851 she was awarded the prize medal of "Manufacturer, Designer and Inventor" for her corsetry designs. In 1860 she became a member of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce (RSA). She died in Mortlake, Surrey.
