Download or read book Spanish Phrases Everyday Speedy Study Guides written by Speedy Publishing and published by Speedy Publishing LLC. This book was released on 2014-07-31 with total page 6 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A student learning Spanish is learning the grammar and mechanics of the Spanish language. Often, the everyday phrases that we use in normal conversational speaking is never touched upon or even introduced. A pamphlet depicting these everyday phrases would not only increase the Spanish student's vocabulary, but allow them to be able to speak in a more conversational tone to someone who actually speaks Spanish. This would then liberate the Spanish student from book work to conversations and actual speaking.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Have you ever wanted to visit a Spanish country and be able to speak Spanish? Traveling in Spanish countries can be hard. Believe me, I'm a frequent traveler, and I've been all around the world. I've been in Europe, Asia, and South America, and I have to say that of all the places that I've been, I've never found more caring and lovely people than in Spanish countries. Maybe it is their past, maybe is their language, but they are always available to give you a hand, talk to you, have fun, grab a drink, and generally have a good time. But the language barrier might be hard. You might find yourself trying to say something, and the interlocutor understanding another thing entirely. It might be quite frustrating, and then you end up using your fingers or pointing to what you want, and to be honest, it's quite ridiculous and a bit childish. Sometimes, you might be lucky and find someone nearby who understands English, and that works for the moment, but what if there's no one there? What if you want a burger without cheese? Or maybe you want a diet Coke, not regular, because you don't consume sugar? Or, leaving aside the food matters (which are quite important!), let's say that you want to book a hotel room, but you don't want to spend too much, and obviously, you don't want to pay for things that you don't need. So there goes the Jacuzzi, or the HD television. And you have to make yourself clear, that you don't want that, without using insults and pointing to the things that you don't want. That's why I'm writing this book, to help you on your travels, so if you want to take a trip to a Spanish Country, you won't find it hard to express yourself. And I will not just explain you some phrases in Spanish to ease your life in your trip, I will also teach the differences between countries, and how to travel from one place to another. So, if you were planning a trip, or maybe you are already in one and found yourself in a problem, this is the book for you. I hope it helps you with anything that might arise on your trip. Book excerpt: The book, Conflict in Blue: The Marissa Ortega Story begins where D. E. Grays second book, True to the Blue left off. Marissa Ortega, the daughter of deceased police officer, Sergio Ortega, who was fired from the Los Angeles Police Department for a bogus charge of filing a false police report, a charge he was later cleared of, is now an L.A.P.D. officer herself. After witnessing the murder of her father by a ruthless Hispanic gangbanger when she was just nine years old, she now has a score to settle, not just with the notorious Avenues Street Gang who reins down terror on the citizens in LAs Northeast Division where she works, but with the LAPD itself. With her aggressive approach in dealing with the local street gangs, she soon finds herself, along with her partner, on a Mexican Mafia hit list after three Avenues Street Gang members die, one of them the little brother of an imprisoned Mafioso, at the conclusion of a violent police pursuit. Even though she is on a Mafia hit list, Marissa sets out to find the gang member who killed her uncle back before she was born and who is now out of prison and back on the streets with EMERO status and who is now considered a parolee at large. Things get worse when the hit on Marissa and her partner, by gang members, goes awry and one of her family members is murdered by accident as well as her partners wife. Marissa eventually teams up with a Bryce Stevens, a detective assigned to the Robbery Homicide Division of the LAPD. Together they devise a plan to trick Emilio Soto, aka Whitey, a bumbling Avenues gang member, into becoming a confidential informant hoping he will lead them to the individual who killed her uncle and to the gang members who killed her family member and her partners wife. It becomes a race between Marissa Ortega and Jorge Mendoza, the Avenues Street Gang leader, to see who will stay alive long enough before the other is brought to justice.

By the ninth century the Christians had begun to reconsolidate in the Pyrenees; they formed the Kingdom of Aragón and made Jaca - today the most popular village among mountain sportsters - their earliest capital. The Romanesque churches scattered throughout the Pyrenees stand as a genteel testament to the devotion and determination of these rallying Christians. During the 12th century they had worked their way south into the wide.
