The writer would like to know whether Mrs. Harwood and the heirs of Captain Flucker (who died in 1784) can claim their inheritance, since Harwood and Flucker left America and remained attached to the British government during the war. In the second portion, Parsons, a prominent jurist, provides his opinion that the inheritance belongs to Mrs. Lucy Knox, as her siblings became aliens when they left the country. Adds that the Supreme Court of Massachusetts has supported this opinion in the past.
