Book Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro User Guide

Download or read book Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro User Guide written by Williams M Brown and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2024-06-08 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, which are Google's flagship smartphones, have been unveiled. These phones provide improved capabilities in terms of artificial intelligence as well as improvements in photography. The phones are a demonstration of the growing prevalence of artificial intelligence in Pixel phones, which includes capabilities such as Google Assistant, the ability to filter calls, and the ability to edit pictures. As was the case with past incarnations of the Pixel, the camera continues to be a key focus of attention. In addition to the addition of Macro mode, the Pixel 8 now also comes with a function called Video Boost, which allows for improved video capturing capabilities. As an alternative to depending only on the capabilities of the device, Video Boost optimizes video clips via the use of cloud processing. Both of these phones will also come equipped with a cutting-edge editing feature that can be used to alter the facial expressions in group shots. One further way in which Google differentiates the regular Pixel 8 from the Pixel 8 Pro is by including a temperature sensor in the version of the Pixel 8 Pro that is more expensive. This is a feature that is being offered for the very first time. There has also been an improvement made to the Call Screen feature, which enables the Google Assistant to answer calls and filter out spam and other unwanted messages. The Assistant's voice intonation has been improved to make it seem more genuine, and its capacity to absorb contextual information when it is on the phone has been enlarged. However, one of the most notable additions is the introduction of a picture editing tool called Best Take. This tool allows users to alter the facial expression of an individual in a group shot. This manual makes it easier for beginners and seniors to understand the Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. What you will see in the book, The New Features Of the Google Pixel 8 And 8 Pro How to Turn On/Off Your Device How to Activate the SIM on Your Google Pixel 8 Series How to Migrate Your Data to A Pixel Phone How to Phone Calls With Google Pixel Buds How to Connect To Your Wi-Fi Networks On Your Pixel Phone How to Pair Your Pixel Phone with Your Device Via Bluetooth. Book Multivariate Kernel Smoothing and Its Applications

Download or read book Multivariate Kernel Smoothing and Its Applications written by José E. Chacón and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2018-05-08 with total page 255 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Kernel smoothing has greatly evolved since its inception to become an essential methodology in the data science tool kit for the 21st century. Its widespread adoption is due to its fundamental role for multivariate exploratory data analysis, as well as the crucial role it plays in composite solutions to complex data challenges. Multivariate Kernel Smoothing and Its Applications offers a comprehensive overview of both aspects. It begins with a thorough exposition of the approaches to achieve the two basic goals of estimating probability density functions and their derivatives. The focus then turns to the applications of these approaches to more complex data analysis goals, many with a geometric/topological flavour, such as level set estimation, clustering (unsupervised learning), principal curves, and feature significance. Other topics, while not direct applications of density (derivative) estimation but sharing many commonalities with the previous settings, include classification (supervised learning), nearest neighbour estimation, and deconvolution for data observed with error. For a data scientist, each chapter contains illustrative Open data examples that are analysed by the most appropriate kernel smoothing method. The emphasis is always placed on an intuitive understanding of the data provided by the accompanying statistical visualisations. For a reader wishing to investigate further the details of their underlying statistical reasoning, a graduated exposition to a unified theoretical framework is provided. The algorithms for efficient software implementation are also discussed. José E. Chacón is an associate professor at the Department of Mathematics of the Universidad de Extremadura in Spain. Tarn Duong is a Senior Data Scientist for a start-up which provides short distance carpooling services in France. Both authors have made important contributions to kernel smoothing research over the last couple of decades.

Download or read book Ultrasound Imaging written by João Miguel Sanches and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2011-12-14 with total page 361 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Diagnostic and Therapeutic Ultrasound has recently taken an explosive growth for better safer, economic, mobile and high quality healthcare. This technology is very appealing for medical applications because it is non-ionizing, non-invasive and it is available in most of the medical and clinical facilities. Its low cost, when compared with other medical image modalities, makes it one of the preferred tools for medical monitoring, follow-up and diagnosis. Besides the traditional fields of Cardiology and Obstetrics, where it is extensively used for long time, it has became also very useful in the diagnosis of diseases of the prostate, liver and coronaries and carotids atherosclerosis. However, Ultrasound images present poor quality, very low signal to noise ratio and a lot of artifacts. The extraction of useful information from Ultrasound data for diagnosis is a challenge task that makes this medical image modality a very active field of research. The difficulties are being overcome and novel and advanced methods are being proposed for detection, characterization and segmentation of abnormalities in several organs. In fact, Ultrasound application range is vast, covering almost all organs of the human body, including the brain where Tran-cranial Doppler Ultrasound is very important to assess the brain vasculature. This book presents some of the recent advances in Ultrasound imaging technology covering several organs and techniques in a Biomedical Engineering (BME) perspective. The focus of the book is in the algorithms, methodologies and systems developed by multidisciplinary research teams of engineers and physicians for Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) purposes. Cardiovascular and Cancer, the most common life-threatening diseases in western countries, are two of the most important topics focused in the book. However, other advanced issues are also presented such as Intravascular Ultrasound, 3D US and Ultrasound in Computer-Aided Surgery (CAS). Some chapters are direct contributions from medical research groups where Ultrasound has also received great attention in the last decade. By this, new techniques based on Ultrasound were introduced in the clinical practice for diagnosis and therapeutics, mainly in hospital facilities.

Book Flood Forecasting Using Machine Learning Methods

Download or read book Flood Forecasting Using Machine Learning Methods written by Fi-John Chang and published by MDPI. This book was released on 2019-02-28 with total page 376 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nowadays, the degree and scale of flood hazards has been massively increasing as a result of the changing climate, and large-scale floods jeopardize lives and properties, causing great economic losses, in the inundation-prone areas of the world. Early flood warning systems are promising countermeasures against flood hazards and losses. A collaborative assessment according to multiple disciplines, comprising hydrology, remote sensing, and meteorology, of the magnitude and impacts of flood hazards on inundation areas significantly contributes to model the integrity and precision of flood forecasting. Methodologically oriented countermeasures against flood hazards may involve the forecasting of reservoir inflows, river flows, tropical cyclone tracks, and flooding at different lead times and/or scales. Analyses of impacts, risks, uncertainty, resilience, and scenarios coupled with policy-oriented suggestions will give information for flood hazard mitigation. Emerging advances in computing technologies coupled with big-data mining have boosted data-driven applications, among which Machine Learning technology, with its flexibility and scalability in pattern extraction, has modernized not only scientific thinking but also predictive applications. This book explores recent Machine Learning advances on flood forecast and management in a timely manner and presents interdisciplinary approaches to modelling the complexity of flood hazards-related issues, with contributions to integrative solutions from a local, regional or global perspective.
