Book God Is Salvation for a Lost World Vol 3

Download or read book God Is Salvation for a Lost World Vol 3 written by Farley Dunn and published by . This book was released on 2014-09-04 with total page 136 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What hat do we wear? The final essay in this third volume deals with all the things we do that make us who we are. Being a Christian is only one facet of our lives. We are also children, parents, office workers, and business owners. How do we put all those together? That's what this book is about. As you turn the pages, you will be exposed to "life after life." In other words, you will learn how we live in Jesus after we come to the cross. It's ironic in a way. We receive life when we are born, we are given new life when we kneel at the cross, and yet, although already twice born, we then need to learn to live our lives after the example of Christ. We cannot afford to fail. God is our salvation in this lost world, and only his protecting hand can help us reach our goal, which is to sit at his side in the great by and by. God used these essays to speak to me even as I wrote them. My prayer is that he uses them to speak to you as you read them. God does that, you know. He speaks to us. When our hearts are moved by the words of another, we have heard from the heart of God.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The objective of the Holy Bible, the Sacred Scriptures, 27th edition, volume III, is to revoke all falsifications in today's Bibles known so far (the New Testament), and to restore the original state of the verses as far as possible. In the present work, you will find from "The Letter to the Hebrews" to "The General Letter of Judah", also "The Book of Daniel" and "The Book of Revelation", in which the verses are written in German and English, as well as an appendix with various elaborations and statements, etc. (see the table of contents). There is both a German and an English edition in which the attachments are available in the respective selected language. This is a English version. Other important parts of this work are focused on "The Doctrine of the Trinity", "The holy Name of our God", "The Name of His Son and the Significancy", "The Falsification of the Resurrection Day", "The Ttatements of Dr. Martin Luther and the Reformers", "The official Statements of the Clergy in Rome", "The full validity of God's Law" as well as detailed explanations by the English reformers, falsifications in the Holy Bible, false doctrines, etc. The author was born in 1963 in North Rhine-Westphalia and completed a traineeship for wholesale and foreign trade in a pharmaceutical wholesale company. In the course of his professional development, he used to be a freelancer but was also officially employed; he has experienced a lot rises and falls throughout his life. While studying the Scriptures, he was led by the Spirit of the only God, the Almighty and the only Holy Father in heaven, whereas, by grace, he could recognize many things that are now presented as heresies to the world. In recent years he has been active in the proclamation of the Word of God in Europe, particularly in Brazil (South America), and has enlightened many people by his message, so that they get to know the true God, His holy name and His will and only obey Him – and start to think about all this, i. e. "so that they finally decide themselves in favour of the living God, instead of against Him, and their names are not erased from the divine 'Book of Life' forever."

As humans, we often give too much of our attention to mundane daily life, forgetting our Father's name and where he dwells. Worst of all, many times, we do not even realize we are lost. Captive human spirits desiring spiritual salvation must first realize they are lost before they can rediscover their true selves. If they don't know where they came from, they cannot ask to return. The comparative utopia of twenty-third-century Earth is about to go dreadfully awry when a seemingly benign alien race is abruptly revealed to be one of the worst threats humanity has ever faced. Driven by an intense religious extremism, the Olyix are determined to bring everyone to their version of God as they see it. But they may have met their match in humanity, who are not about to go gently into that good night or spend the rest of their days cowering in hiding. As human ingenuity and determination rise to the challenge, collective humanity has only one goal—to wipe this apparently undefeatable enemy from the face of creation. Even if it means playing a ridiculously long game indeed. But in a chaotic universe, it is hard to plan for every eventuality, and it is always darkest before the dawn.

Book God s Glory in Salvation through Judgment

Download or read book God s Glory in Salvation through Judgment written by James M. Hamilton Jr. and published by Crossway. This book was released on 2010-11-04 with total page 642 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Exodus 34 Moses asks to see God's glory, and God reveals himself as a God who is merciful and just. James Hamilton Jr. contends that from this passage comes a biblical theology that unites the meta-narrative of Scripture under one central theme: God's glory in salvation through judgment. Hamilton begins in the Old Testament by showing that Israel was saved through God's judgment on the Egyptians and the Caananites. God was glorified through both his judgment and mercy, accorded in salvation to Israel. The New Testament unfolds the ultimate display of God's glory in justice and mercy, as it was God's righteous judgment shown on the cross that brought us salvation. God's glory in salvation through judgment will be shown at the end of time, when Christ returns to judge his enemies and save all who have called on his name. Hamilton moves through the Bible book by book, showing that there is one theological center to the whole Bible. The volume's systematic method and scope make it a unique resource for pastors, professors, and students.

Book The Pulpit Commentary Volume 3

Download or read book The Pulpit Commentary Volume 3 written by Spence-Jones, Henry and published by Delmarva Publications, Inc.. This book was released on 2015-08-14 with total page 6116 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Pulpit Commentary was first published between 1880 and 1919 and is a highly respected work written by conservative, trustworthy men. Containing over 22,000 pages and 95,000 entries, it is one of the largest and best-selling homiletic commentary sets of all time. It was directed by editors Joseph Exell and Henry Donald Maurice Spence-Jones and utilized more than 100 authors over a 30-year span. When reading this commentary, it is not difficult to see why it has remained a favorite amongst pastors for more than 100 years. There are three key elements which set this apart from its contemporaries, the first being that it gives an exposition or verse-by-verse annotation of each verse in the Bible. The second element is that it explores the framework of the text, the homiletics. Finally, it supplies the homilies with multiple model sermons from various authors. Also included is a translation as well as historical and geographical information. The Evangelical Magazine and Missionary Chronicle declared, “This commentary bids fair to take a conspicuous place among the ever-multiplying aids to the study of the Holy Scriptures. It will revive the great work of Lange, and will far exceed the Speaker's Commentary in the bulk and fullness of its material. The peculiarity of the Pulpit Commentary is that it offers special assistance to the preacher: first by giving him a critical and exegetical exposition of the text of Scripture, and then providing him with succinct and helpful directions as to the preachable aspects of the chapter and paragraph already explained." The print edition of this set typically retails for more than $1,000 making the current offered price a very good bargain. Due to its size, it has been broken up into nine separate volumes: Volume 1 - Genesis to Joshua Volume 2 - Judges to 2 Kings Volume 3 - 1 Chronicles to Job Volume 4 - Psalms to Song of Songs Volume 5 - Isaiah to Daniel Volume 6 - Hosea to Malachi Volume 7 - Matthew to John Volume 8 - Act to Philippians Volume 9- Colossians to Revelation The footnotes have been placed in line with the text with each footnote number enclosed in red brackets (i.e.: []) and the text in green. There is also a linked table of contents at the beginning of each volume for ease of navigation. Key Features: * Over 22,000 pages with more than 95,000 entries * One of the largest and exhaustive commentary sets of its kind * Contributions from over 100 authors * Expositions—with thorough verse-by-verse commentary of each verse of the Bible * Homiletics—with the framework or overall look of the text * Homilies—four to six sample sermons from various authors * Detailed information on Biblical customs * Historical and geographical information * Translations of key Hebrew and Greek words All 23 Volumes of the printed version are included in these nine volumes. 1. Book The Psalms Volume 3 Psalms 51 100

Download or read book The Psalms Volume 3 Psalms 51 100 written by Christopher Ash and published by Crossway. This book was released on 2024-07-09 with total page 671 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Commentary from Christopher Ash Sets Out a Deeply Christian Study of Psalms 51–100 While reading Psalms, it is common for commentaries to focus on Old Testament meaning, without connecting it deeply to Christ's fulfillment in the New Testament. By studying Scripture this way, believers miss out on the fullness of God's word. The key to experiencing authentically Christian worship is learning a Christ-focused approach to praying and singing the Psalms. In this thorough commentary, Christopher Ash provides a careful treatment of Psalms 51–100, examining each psalm's significance to David and the other psalmists, to Jesus during his earthly ministry, and to the church of Christ in every age. Ash includes introductory quotations, a deep analysis of the text's structure and vocabulary, and a closing reflection and response, along with selected quotations from older readings of the Psalms. Perfect for pastors, Bible teachers, and students, this commentary helps readers sing and pray the Psalms with Christ in view. Exhaustive: Christopher Ash's exegesis explores how the Psalms are quoted and echoed throughout the New Testament Applicable and Heartfelt: Explains how a Christ-centered approach to reading the Psalms influences doctrines of prayer, prophecy, the Trinity, ecclesiology, and more Ideal for Pastors and Serious Students of Scripture: Written for Bible teachers, Sunday school and youth leaders, and small-group leaders
