Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This lab manual is intended to support the students of undergraduate engineering in the related fields of electronics engineering for practicing laboratory experiments. It will also be useful to the undergraduate students of electrical science branches of engineering and applied science. This book begins with an introduction to the electronic components and equipment, and the experiments for electronics workshop. Further, it covers experiments for basic electronics lab, electronic circuits lab and digital electronics lab. A separate chapter is devoted to the simulation of electronics experiments using PSpice. Each experiment has aim, components and equipment required, theory, circuit diagram, tables, graphs, alternate circuits, answered questions and troubleshooting techniques. Answered viva voce questions and solved examination questions given at the end of each experiment will be very helpful for the students. The purpose of the experiments described here is to acquaint the students with: • Analog and digital devices • Design of circuits • Instruments and procedures for electronic test and measurement
Download or read book Semiconductor Circuits written by J. R. Abrahams and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 321 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Semiconductor Circuits: Theory, Design and Experiment focuses on the design and modification of circuits involving transistors and related semiconductor devices. This book is divided into three parts. The four chapters of Part I are concerned with the physical theory of semiconductors; production of pn junctions; and characteristics and equivalent circuits of transistors. The treatment of physical theory is briefly mentioned. Part II forms the major portion of this book and is made up of seven chapters. These chapters have been written at a practical level, including a number of complete circuit designs. Chapters 10 and 11, in particular, deal with the aspects of semiconductors. Several laboratory demonstrations and experiments with semiconductors are provided in Part III. This publication is written as an undergraduate and technical college textbook that helps electrical engineering students in choosing the right component and device for a particular application.

Download or read book MINNIE and HSpice for Analogue Circuit Simulation written by D. C. Barker and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: After many years of teaching circuit theory and analogue electronic circuits the author believes that for most students the main path to obtaining a good understanding of the principles involved, as measured by their ability to apply them in a correct and intelligent manner, is through problem solving and design exercises. In an ideal world the student would be able to construct the circuit being analysed or designed, and so directly test the calculated or pre dicted results. Indeed, experience leads to the conclusion that typical students like to see their own circuits perform as intended, with a con sequent increase in motivation. At present, however, time and facility constraints mean that most of this work is of the pencil and paper variety, students having few opportunities to see the consequences of their efforts in a practical situation. At best they have to accept sample solutions or simply num erical answers. This path can seem tedious to all but the most motivated of students, so an alternative which can provide many of the benefits of direct circuit testing within the time and resources available is of im mediate interest. This is where the MINNIE and HSpice simulation package can assist the undergraduate teaching activity.

Download or read book Semiconductor Devices and Integrated Electronics written by A. G. Milnes and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 1014 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For some time there has been a need for a semiconductor device book that carries diode and transistor theory beyond an introductory level and yet has space to touch on a wider range of semiconductor device principles and applica tions. Such topics are covered in specialized monographs numbering many hun dreds, but the voluminous nature of this literature limits access for students. This book is the outcome of attempts to develop a broad course on devices and integrated electronics for university students at about senior-year level. The edu cational prerequisites are an introductory course in semiconductor junction and transistor concepts, and a course on analog and digital circuits that has intro duced the concepts of rectification, amplification, oscillators, modulation and logic and SWitching circuits. The book should also be of value to professional engineers and physicists because of both, the information included and the de tailed guide to the literature given by the references. The aim has been to bring some measure of order into the subject area examined and to provide a basic structure from which teachers may develop themes that are of most interest to students and themselves. Semiconductor devices and integrated circuits are reviewed and fundamental factors that control power levels, frequency, speed, size and cost are discussed. The text also briefly mentions how devices are used and presents circuits and comments on representative applications. Thus, the book seeks a balance be tween the extremes of device physics and circuit design.
