This book was released on 2017 with total page 1310 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: General Intelligence and Test of Reasoning owes its existence to comprehensive research and strategic planning. A thorough coverage of the reasoning section of various competitive examinations has been achieved after an in-depth research and proper analysis of original papers of the UPSC, SSC, banking services, B-school tests and tests by other central and state-level recruitment bodies. A unique aspect of this book is the approach it adopts in explaining the concepts of verbal analysis, non-verbal analysis, critical reasoning and data interpretation. Each chapter starts with a brief introduction to the various formats of questions asked in competitive examinations, followed by topic-specific tests, which provide numerous multiple-choice questions that involve students in an interactive way to improve their accuracy level. The last chapter provides scientifically structured and exam-oriented test papers to familiarize candidates with current trends and types of questions. These test papers and self-scoring tables will help students assess their own level of preparation.

Book Pivot Thinking and the Differential Sharing of Information Within New Product Development Teams

Download or read book Pivot Thinking and the Differential Sharing of Information Within New Product Development Teams written by Mark F. Schar and published by Stanford University. This book was released on 2011 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Functionally diverse team members bring unique sets of cognitive styles to team interaction; it is less clear how these differences affect the exchange of critical, mutually required team information. This cognitive diversity in new product design (NPD) teams increases the likelihood that individual team members will perceive the team's task differently, leading to "cognitive representational gaps" between teammates' interpretations of both the task and potential solution. This research shows that cognitively diverse NPD teams develop representational gaps based on individual cognitive preferences between convergent and divergent information types and these cognitive preferences influence both task definition and solution. A second experiment shows that team leadership that bridges cognitive preferences, called "pivot thinking, " can overcome this limiting behavior. Understanding these general mechanisms deepens understanding of group information processing and conflict in cognitively diverse NPD teams. Implications for design education are discussed.
