He married Thirza Angelina Hale (1814-1895), daughter of Oliver Hale and Rosanna Gowing, 28 May 1833. They had nine children. He married Thankful Lucy Pine, daughter of Joseph Pine and Adelia Ann Sparrow, in about 1859 in Springville, Utah. They had five children. He died in 1892 in Monroe, Utah. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Utah, Colorado, California and Washington.
