It is this respect and interest which has led me to write the genealogy of my own family and of all the Brownings who have come to America, so far as I have been able to ascertain their history. I have also included the genealogy of one of the greatest, if not the greatest of English poets, Robert Browning, who has a world - wide reputation for his learning and poetic genius.
