Book From The Cotton Field To The Pulpit

Download or read book From The Cotton Field To The Pulpit written by Rev. Dr. Albert J. Harris Jr. and published by . This book was released on 2017-01-23 with total page 62 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This story is without a doubt inspired by God based upon (Jer. 1:5; Eccl. 3:1-8; Rom. 8:28). God inspired me and convinced me that my life is an open book, that he wants me to share with the world. Moreover, I am compelled to be a witness to all the world that God is a specialist in all things. I am compelled to convince and persuade people that there is more to their life than what others' say. God has always had a plan for us, but sometimes it takes someone who has experienced a miraculous transformation to be a witness of that. From the Cotton Field to the Pulpit is a biography of a young man with a rich cotton field mentality that manifests into a spiritual pulpit mentality. Moreover, this is God's plan to bring glory unto himself. In addition, it is designed to inspire and influence others that God is a specialist and a miracle worker. You just have to trust him (Prov. 3:5-6) that great is his faithfulness (Lam. 3:21-23). It is my prayer that someone is inspired and will not give up or throw in the towel without giving God a try at your life. Moreover, all of our lives have meaning and purpose; we just need someone to help us find our purpose and reason, and that person is God (Matt. 19:26). With much love, Rev. Dr. Albert Joe Harris Jr.

Meet Ron Hall, a self-made millionaire in the world of high-priced deals—an international arts dealer who moves between upscale New York galleries and celebrities. It seems unlikely that these two men would meet under normal circumstances, but when Deborah Hall, Ron's wife, meets Denver, she sees him through God's eyes of compassion. When Deborah is diagnosed with cancer, she charges Ron with the mission of helping Denver. From this request, an extraordinary friendship forms between Denver and Ron, changing them both forever. A tale told in two unique voices, Same Kind of Different as Me weaves two completely different life experiences into one common journey. "Did you say thus and so in your sermon yesterday?" "I did." "Did you intend those remarks for me, or were you meaning me?" "I most certainly did." Book The Life and Times of Louis Lomax

Download or read book The Life and Times of Louis Lomax written by Thomas Aiello and published by Duke University Press. This book was released on 2021-02-15 with total page 182 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Syndicated television and radio host. Serial liar. Pioneering journalist. Convicted criminal. Close ally of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. Publicity-seeking provocateur. Louis Lomax's life was a study in contradiction. In this biography, Thomas Aiello traces the complicated and fascinating arc of Lomax's life and career, showing how the contradictions, tumult, and inconsistencies that marked his life reflected those of 1960s America. Aiello takes readers from Lomax's childhood in the Deep South to his early confidence schemes to his emergence as one of the loudest and most influential voices of the civil rights movement. Regardless of what political position he happened to take at any given moment, Lomax preached “the art of deliberate disunity,” in which the path to democracy could only be achieved through a diversity of opinions. Engaging and broad in scope, The Life and Times of Louis Lomax is the definitive study of one of the civil rights era's most complicated, important, and overlooked figures.
