Book excerpt: God will always lift you from a pit of mess and put your feet on a higher ground and make history with your life - that many predicted was going to be a life of mess! Are you feeling down and out? Do you see yourself in a mess? There is good news for you: if you surrender your life unto Jesus Christ, God shall use you as His messenger, with a message that will turn lives around for the better!Beloved, the God of Heaven is always a Repairer and a Restorer! He alone is the Master Restorer of broken lives! He excels in giving a "second chance" to all whose lives have been messed up and feel so hopeless! Are you one? Then this amazing bookMy goal for writing this book is simple: to inspire you that, there is God and He is the God of Heaven, who created this earth for His glory and His pleasure. He did not create this beautiful planet for the people on the earth to suffer and live hopeless lives. Sin has ravaged the earth and the devil gained the power to rule over God's children and put us all in a mess because Adam sold his divine right to prosperity and good success to the devil.

Book excerpt: What if the mess of your life is where God is about to do his best work? Life can be a tangled mess. Luke Lezon's mess came in the form of alarming health issues, transforming him from fun-loving and God-fearing to angry and hopeless. As Luke's health deteriorated for months without answers, the stress of not knowing suddenly spiraled into a mental and emotional breakdown. As a pastor, he wasn't supposed to struggle with life's mess - but then maybe we've been wrong about the mess all along. As Luke learned, you are not made of the mess, you are made through it. If you're feeling lonely or less-than, ashamed of where you've been or anxious about where you're going, this is a message crafted just for you: God is never afraid of a mess. He's never run from some dirt and blood. In fact, the mess is exactly where he does his best work. If we believe that God created us from dust and redeemed us through the blood of the cross, we can trust him with our tangled lives. Your Mess Matters is a lifeline to hang on to, a light in the dark reminding you that God is still at work, making your life more beautiful than ever before. Through vulnerable stories of his own journey and profound biblical truths, Luke will guide you through the process of entrusting your story to Jesus and letting him work his biggest promises through your greatest regrets. With Luke's encouraging insight and bold truth-telling, your mind will be comforted, your heart inspired, and your soul empowered to let God transform your mess into a masterpiece.

Book Playwright Space and Place in Early Modern Performance

Download or read book Playwright Space and Place in Early Modern Performance written by Tim Fitzpatrick and published by Ashgate Publishing, Ltd.. This book was released on 2011-01-01 with total page 329 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Analyzing Elizabethan and Jacobean playtexts for their spatial implications, this innovative study discloses the extent to which the resources and constraints of public playhouse buildings affected the construction of the fictional worlds of early modern plays. The study argues that playwrights were writing with foresight, inscribing the constraints and resources of the stages into their texts. It goes further, to posit that Shakespeare and his playwright-contemporaries adhered to a set of generic conventions, rather than specific local company practices, about how space and place were to be related in performance: the playwrights constituted thus an overarching virtual 'company' producing playtexts that shared features across the acting companies and playhouses. By clarifying a sixteenth- to seventeenth-century conception of theatrical place, Tim Fitzpatrick adds a new layer of meaning to our understanding of the plays. His approach adds a new dimension to these particular documents which - though many of them are considered of great literary worth - were not originally generated for any other reason than to be performed within a specific performance context. The fact that the playwrights were aware of the features of this performance tradition makes their texts a potential mine of performance information, and casts light back on the texts themselves: if some of their meanings are 'spatial', these will have been missed by purely literary tools of analysis.
