Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: THIS IS NOT A FINANCIAL BOOK. Although, I'll be doing a lot of intensive teaching beyond money, and you'll learn definite things that you must know and begin to do, that will bring an end to your prayer and fasting for financial increase. For you, this book will bring you an answer to a lifelong cause that has held you loving the Lord but living in poverty; loving the Lord but living in all kinds of reproach; with no beauty and colour in your life. I have watched with sadness the limiting effect of being poor or financially incapacitated as it has affected preachers, families, governments and nations. Finance is one of the number one sponsors for compromise of character. Some people today who otherwise would have been worthy representation and models for the next generations, survive every other temptation but they could not stand finance. Judas Iscariot survived every other thing, but when it came to the money issue, he fell like a pack of cards. Among the many things that we were given as far as redemption is concerned, is access to the blessing, and the blessings of the Lord translate to all kinds of good things, including freedom and deliverance from poverty and want. This poverty thing is very serious because while you have those who talk about it like an obsession, very few have been able to proffer solutions and some have avoided it and done so to their detriment. So, when I write on peculiar subjects like Freedom from Financial Captivity, I'm not writing from an advisory standpoint, there is an anointing and a mantle that was given to me in this regard.

Download or read book Breaking Financial Hardship written by Apostle Joshua Selman and published by . This book was released on 2020-11-29 with total page 28 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My primary assignment in this place today is to break the cycle of financial hardship over families and if you believe it I want you to shout amen. One of the greatest agenda of Satan in this season is to cripple the body of Christ, to cripple families, to cripple individuals, to cripple marriages. And there are many tools that he is using, please listen to me, one of the greatest tools is poverty, lack, insufficiency, and financial struggles.Statistics tell us that 90% of failed marriages are directly or indirectly related to money issues. Many of our sisters have gotten into immorality, not because they want to but because of the reality of lack and poverty. Hallelujah, do you believe what I'm sharing? I need to know that you are interested in what I'm about to share because of it is dangerous and it can even be destructive if you try to teach people something they are not willing to receivethe kingdom of God and the advancement of the kingdom of God is suffering greatly all over the world, especially not because there are not zealous people but because there is an enemy of the gospel, it is called financial hardship. If you do not love God and you do not love to see souls saved and you do not want to see the people of God lifted, you will never find value in what I'm about to teach because the church is full of a lot of self-centeredness and selfishness and for many of us we believe that once we have enough "for myself, my wife, my 2 children and maybe a little offering to throw to the church" we believe that is alright, let the pastors go wherever they want to go, let the church of God go wherever it wants to go, let the church of God go very it wants to go, at least I'm comfortable. The truth is that there are many of us here, I may nor say we are in a state of poverty as it were, it is not like we don't have food to eat, it is not like we can't afford to wear a good cloth, it is not like you can't afford to be a blessing to one or two people, but we are in a state of insufficiency. A realm where it never gets enough and the agenda of Satan is to keep us in that state so that our entire lives become a journey that chases after money. If we are to be very sincere with ourselves, there are so many of us, the number one thought in our lives and our mind is money, money, money. As I'm mentioning the word money, some of you are already smiling, you just want to keep hearing it. Don't let anybody fool you, money is very important in this realm, please don't let anybody confuse you, without money there are many things that will not move forward in your life, without money the gospel is going to suffer.Read This Book and Be Blessed

Download or read book Captive Audience written by Susan Crawford and published by Yale University Press. This book was released on 2013-01-08 with total page 351 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ten years ago, the United States stood at the forefront of the Internet revolution. With some of the fastest speeds and lowest prices in the world for high-speed Internet access, the nation was poised to be the global leader in the new knowledge-based economy. Today that global competitive advantage has all but vanished because of a series of government decisions and resulting monopolies that have allowed dozens of countries, including Japan and South Korea, to pass us in both speed and price of broadband. This steady slide backward not only deprives consumers of vital services needed in a competitive employment and business market—it also threatens the economic future of the nation. This important book by leading telecommunications policy expert Susan Crawford explores why Americans are now paying much more but getting much less when it comes to high-speed Internet access. Using the 2011 merger between Comcast and NBC Universal as a lens, Crawford examines how we have created the biggest monopoly since the breakup of Standard Oil a century ago. In the clearest terms, this book explores how telecommunications monopolies have affected the daily lives of consumers and America's global economic standing.

Download or read book Prisoners of Hope written by Dayna Curry and published by WaterBrook. This book was released on 2009-02-04 with total page 337 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The gripping and inspiring story of two extraordinary women--from their imprisonment by the Taliban to their rescue by U.S. Special Forces. When Dayna Curry and Heather Mercer arrived in Afghanistan, they had come to help bring a better life and a little hope to some of the poorest and most oppressed people in the world. Within a few months, their lives were thrown into chaos as they became pawns in historic international events. They were arrested by the ruling Taliban government for teaching about Christianity to the people with whom they worked. In the middle of their trial, the events of September 11, 2001, led to the international war on terrorism, with the Taliban a primary target. While many feared Curry and Mercer could not survive in the midst of war, Americans nonetheless prayed for their safe return, and in November their prayers were answered. In Prisoners of Hope, Dayna Curry and Heather Mercer tell the story of their work in Afghanistan, their love for the people they served, their arrest, trial, and imprisonment by the Taliban, and their rescue by U.S. Special Forces. The heart of the book will discuss how two middle-class American women decided to leave the comforts of home in exchange for the opportunity to serve the disadvantaged, and how their faith motivated them and sustained them through the events that followed. Their story is a magnificent narrative of ordinary women caught in extraordinary circumstances as a result of their commitment to serve the poorest and most oppressed women and children in the world. This book will be inspiring to those who seek a purpose greater than themselves.

Download or read book To Free a Dolphin written by Keith Coulbourn and published by Renaissance Books. This book was released on 2015-10-06 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this memorable first book, Behind the Dolphin Smile, Richard O'Barry told the inspiring story of his personal transformation from world-famous dolphin trainer (Flipper was his pupil) to dolphin liberator. Now, in To Free a Dolphin, he passionately recounts the dramatic story of his heart-breaking campaign to release captive dolphins back into the wild. With wit and insight he chronicles the extreme opposition he has faced from bureaucrats, major players in the captive-dolphin industry, rival wildlife groups, and well-meaning sentimentalists. He introduces readers to famous show animals he has helped, including Bogie and Bacall of Key Largo. And, most fascinating, he describes his struggles to deprogram and rehabilitate dolphins emotionally scarred from years of captivity--struggles that become battles for the animals' souls.
