Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God said, "I will pour out My Spirit, in the last days, upon all flesh." This, He began at Pentecost only as minor beginning. Before Christ's return, the Holy Spirit will precede in immanence, power, and glory to prepare the church because Christ isn't coming for a defeated church still struggling with sin and divisions, but a glorious church without spot nor wrinkle. The outpouring of God's spirit in this end times will depend on how desirous the church is for His presence. After the earth opens its mouth due to dryness and desire rain from God, former and latter rains of revival are the fulfillment of this desire. Isaiah 37:3b "..for the children are come to birth, and there is not strength to bring forth". May it never be said of today's church that we came close to birth and had no strength to deliver. Read, Repent, Be Revived.
Download or read book Refreshing of the Latter Rains written by Riaan Engelbrecht and published by Riaan Engelbrecht. This book was released on 2024-02-07 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Volumes one and two of Revival and Awakenings (part of the End-Time Series) explore what is a real revival and a spiritual awakening. Prophetically, it delves into what God has been saying for a long time, which is that the Lord will sweep the earth with revival in the end times which will ignite many followers with His holy fire. What will this revival look like? This is the big question, and one would rather say it will not be a singular event, but a sequence of Godly movements across the globe that will be infectious, contagious and real. In an awakening, the Holy Spirit gives unbelieving people - who are dead in their trespasses and sins -a new awareness of their needs. A revival is connected to the people of God and it is when those who are in churches - those who are professing believers - are ministered to by the Holy Spirit in such a way that they are renewed in their devotion to the Lord. The time is ripe for the one final great harvest, yet this calls for the revived church, full of the fire of the Holy Spirit, to go into the fields, to awaken the lost and the forgotten and broken, and to bring them into the loving embrace of a God who is full of compassion, grace and mercy. This is the time of spiritual latter rains, and now is the time to welcome the embrace of a God who is real, alive, and who calls us all into His arms to reflect His beauty and greatness. It is not God’s Will that any soul should perish, but that all men should come to the knowledge of God and be saved. God is calling on all believers to cast their net in the deep for the harvest of souls.

Download or read book Judaism and Scripture written by Jacob Neusner and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2003-09-08 with total page 665 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This groundbreaking work continues Jacob Neusner's multi-volume examination of the main texts of Judaism in its formative years. The first two parts of the project--'Judaism: The Evidence of the Yerushalmi'--examined the Mishnah and the Talmud of the Land of Israel and placed them in the social, intellectual, and religious contexts of their time. In 'Judaism and Scripture' Neusner moves from the study of ancient Judaism in society at large to an analysis of Rabbinic Judaism in relation to Scripture itself. Neusner accomplishes this both through close analysis and through the first English translation of the critical text of the Leviticus Rabbah. Tracing the relationship between the actual Book of Leviticus and its rabbinic commentary, Neusner asks how the rabbis who stand behind the text make use of Leviticus and how, through their comments on it, they make intelligible and comprehensible statements of their own. In answering these two questions Neusner shows, through a prime example, exactly how Scripture enters Judaism and how rabbis of the formative age of Judaism chose and taught the lessons they deemed critical to the life of Israel, the Jewish people.

Start your day off with God before getting too busy, rushing from one event or meeting after another. God desires to speak to you: He wants you to know Him better and truly discover who you really are in Him. Jesus prayed to the heavenly Father not to take us out of this world, but that He would keep and protect us from the evil one. Jesus also asked the Father to sanctify us, and the only way we can be truly sanctified is in the Word. "Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth." (John 17:17) So be encouraged to start your day with God, discover the truth of God's Word for yourself, and learn more about yourself and your daily assignment in the Lord. Anthony R. Sanders lives in the Virginia Beach, VA, with his wife Jennifer and their three children, Qiana, Zemariah, and Caleb. He loves preaching the Word and serving the people of God. He currently is serving on active duty in the United States Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer.
