Download or read book Fordess written by J. Han and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2011-02-23 with total page 521 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is about the absolute. What would reality be if you had the opportunity to do whatever you wished, with only one stipulation. The prerequisite that you had to accept responsibility for all of your actions, would it really be any different than the reality you experience now? The story relates the effects of massive rationalizations that befall us all, regardless of the circumstances, it flows from the ridiculous, to the demonic, and asks the one unavoidable question, where am I, and how the hell did I get here? All of the players find themselves rolling the proverbial blind dice, and then making a random, disconnected choice based on serendipity, even the given reality is a juxtaposition between oblivion and the unknown. Its all about, The Danger in Being, choices, and the slings and arrows that inevitably follow.
Download or read book Fordess t written by J. Han and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2013-09-04 with total page 389 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the second book of a trilogy. The first book was Fordess. It was the finale and basically told the story of what and why. This is the second book, simply Fordess’t. The first book fleshed out the matter-of-fact reality that the different characters portrayed. It asked the question, would everything be different if everything was different? It sounds simple enough, but the answer falls deeply into that deep, dark well. Is it all just relative like Plato and Uncle Albert suggests, or is it just rationale? Whatever the truth, the second book wonders whether or not the concept of relative or rational has any real relevance. The characters stumble through a myriad of supposed slings and arrows, searching for Godot. Unfortunately, the point seems to be that neither POV holds the absolute truth because there is no such thing. It’s all about the “danger in being.” All of the best-laid plans turn asunder. Throw the dice; it’s all about chance and probability. The whole point of Fordess’t is to play.
Download or read book Victoria written by Anthony Von Dessauer and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2009-02 with total page 306 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Benjamin Reagan has spent his entire life aboard Victoria, towing ships and (sometimes illicit) cargo across the skies. When Disaster strikes, Ben and Vicky go from towing damaged ships to picking up damaged survivors. First to be rescued is Thorbin, a fighter pilot reeling from unbearable loss and defeat, longing to rediscover his destiny. As the unlikely pair journey towards Mars, fighting aliens, pirates and mobsters along the way, they pick up more survivors: an alien sexpot looking for her next sugar daddy; an aging warrior with a penchant for mass destruction; and a girl-next-door engineer who'd rather be hunting for the father of her unborn, fat babies than nasty aliens. With a mercenary for hire and a devious blonde bombshell also along for the ride, it's up to Ben and Thorbin to ensure a crippled Victoria and her crew make it to their next destination. Can the gang survive the sea of change before them? Or is this the final port for Victoria's crew - and the rest of humanity?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The increased computational power and software tools available to engineers have increased the use and dependence on modeling and computer simulation throughout the design process. These tools have given engineers the capability of designing highly complex systems and computer architectures that were previously unthinkable. Every complex design project, from integrated circuits, to aerospace vehicles, to industrial manufacturing processes requires these new methods. This book fulfills the essential need of system and control engineers at all levels in understanding modeling and simulation. This book, written as a true text/reference has become a standard sr./graduate level course in all EE departments worldwide and all professionals in this area are required to update their skills. The book provides a rigorous mathematical foundation for modeling and computer simulation. It provides a comprehensive framework for modeling and simulation integrating the various simulation approaches. It covers model formulation, simulation model execution, and the model building process with its key activities model abstraction and model simplification, as well as the organization of model libraries. Emphasis of the book is in particular in integrating discrete event and continuous modeling approaches as well as a new approach for discrete event simulation of continuous processes. The book also discusses simulation execution on parallel and distributed machines and concepts for simulation model realization based on the High Level Architecture (HLA) standard of the Department of Defense. Presents a working foundation necessary for compliance with High Level Architecture (HLA) standards Provides a comprehensive framework for continuous and discrete event modeling and simulation Explores the mathematical foundation of simulation modeling Discusses system morphisms for model abstraction and simplification Presents a new approach to discrete event simulation of continuous processes Includes parallel and distributed simulation of discrete event models Presents a concept to achieve simulator interoperability in the form of the DEVS-Bus

Book excerpt: When a young girl named Kate Grace finds out that her noble father planned an arranged marriage for her, to the prince, on her 18th birthday, she decides to run away. Her mysterious new friend , Eric Summer, decides to follow her, and she finds out something that could put his life in danger. He was from Fordess, a rival land of Kates. Eric introduces Kate to an interesting man, Sir Stephen, who uncovers a shocking secret that Kate didnt even know about herself. She was the Lost Princess of a forgotten kingdom, Arainia, of which Stephen was a knight. Stephen told Arainias story and convinced Kate that she had to take back what was rightfully hers. Together Kate, Eric, Stephen and an extraordinary army has to fight through the obstacles Kates fake father and the boy that would have been her fianc throws at them. Kate finds out that there is much more to the world than what youre used to and unexpected things happen when you trust in the people you love. Only problem is that those unexpected things can be for better or worse, and luck isnt always on your side. Yet hope is the the only thing she needed to get through their war.

Now her quiet days are filled with her guitar and she savors every sunrise. Curious, and as a favor to a friend, she emerges to hear a rumored superstar in the making. Music pours out of Erika Alvarez through her voice and her fingertips. She’s awed that the reclusive Dess Hampton wants to hear her sing, and then blown away when Dess agrees to sit in for a few gigs. Dess can tell that Erika is destined for the life that she once had and wants no part of, ever again. But can the magic of the music they make together, and the growing love between them, trump Erika’s ambition and Dess’s fears? How much are they willing to sacrifice for it—and for each other?
