Book excerpt: The paper is an account of the ecology of teh one-horned rhinoceros (Rhinoceros unicornis) in Kaziranga National park. It is competttors for food. Although, there has been a general increase in the rhinoceros population, the annual percentages growth rate appears to be on the decrease.
