Book excerpt: FIRSTFRUITS: God's Plan to Propel YOU from Poverty to PROSPERTY! It is God's will that all of His children prosper and have all of their needs abundantly met, while still having enough to support the preaching of the gospel and live a first class life. Too many Christians, even so-called Word of Faith believers, are still struggling financially; even though they are tithers. By the Word of the Lord, God revealed to Dr. Kenneth R. Sesley an important truth about why He has not been able to bless His people on the level that He has promised and that He desires to bless them on. This book answers the question: "God, why am I a tither and still broke?" As important as the tithe is to God's people operating within God's financial system, there is something that we have left undone! This is the firstfruits offering. In this book Dr. Sesley helps you understand this powerful aspect of operating in God's financial system and discover that there is a difference between the tithe and the firstfruit and the different blessings that each of these entitles us to. As you begin to operate in this powerful truth of firstfruits giving, you will tap into the miracle working power of God for your finances to propel you from poverty to prosperity!

Download or read book The Eucharist as Offering of Firstfruits written by Lawrence Francis Ligocki and published by Lawrence Francis Ligocki. This book was released on 2017-06-04 with total page 120 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of the difficulties for Protestant, Evangelical, Pentecostal, and other Christians is how to understand the Eucharist as sacrifice, offering, and oblation. A return to ancient Jewish and Christian sources has uncovered the category of the offering of firstfruits. This is found in a lesser degree among Second Temple Judaism and to a greater degree in early Christian literature beginning with the New Testament itself. This has brought renewed interest in understanding the Eucharist not only in the context of the Feast of Passover, but also in light of the Feast of Pentecost and the offering of firsfruits, and within the context of the Zebach tôdâ —that is, the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving. This has strong implications for a theological, liturgical, spiritual, and practical awakening in understanding the Eucharist as Sacrifice. In the Eucharist, the Church offers the firsfruits of creation, Christ, and also herself to the Father in the Holy Spirit. Each member is called to actively participate in the Eucharistic sacrifice through which they themselves become a Holy and Living sacrifice for the life of the world. This has implications for a renewed Eucharistic spirituality and worship, the New Evangelization, and new works of mercy.

Millennia later, she re-appears in the current technocratic system and has recently discovered her true purpose in life. From the books of Mel Bond, a faith practicing minister, she learns how to remove demons from her body and mind. A few encounters with demon spirits trying to enter her body during the night session convince her, that demons exist, and that the method to remove them, works. We follow Eagle Feather through some challenges and how she grows into overcoming them. From a Mel Bond service meeting recording, Eagle Feather is inspired to bring Terry Cotter into the Earth realm to give her life. We learn about how and why Terry Cotter is being created and witness the ceremony where she receives her mandate of co-operating with Eagle Feather. Terry Cotter invisibly watches the recorded teaching presentations of current and former faith practitioners, while Eagle Feather gathers them on her electronic database, to find out whether they work for her. Terry Cotter fulfills her initial mandate, involving supernatural powers, and a promising future for both heroines.

Download or read book The Coming of the Son of Man written by Andrew Perriman and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2012-08-21 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Tracing the powerful motif of the coming of the Son of man from Daniel through to Revelation, Andrew Perriman provides thought-provoking ideas about eschatological narrative. What was it like to hear the biblical proclamation of this coming for the first time in a cultural, political, and religious context very different from our own? How did early Christians think about the imminence of the promised day of the Lord? What difference did this message make to how they thought, lived, and spread the gospel message? This book engages the minds of jaded twenty-first-century postmoderns who have heard it all before. By seeing the fulfilment of much of New Testament apocalyptic in events of the first centuries, Perriman proposes that in some important sense we have moved beyond eschatology--into an age of renewed community and mission that is creational in its scope.ÊThe Coming of the Son of ManÊis important reading for those who want to engage in the debate concerning what church is--and will be.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Book of Genesis is God’s autobiography and the foundation upon which all revelation rests. The purpose of this book is to give the origin of all things, including the cosmic order of the universe and the covenant relationship between God and his people. Speaking the Word from his eternal dwelling place of light, God fashioned everything from nothing, perfectly displaying his awesome wonder. We will never be able to take the mystery out of Creation, for a God who is incomprehensible in his greatness accomplished it. One of the over-arching themes of Genesis is God’s blessing. His highest order is not the earth or the cosmos, it is man and woman, made after his kind, to be containers for his glory. Genesis showcases God’s redemptive heart toward the world—a theme that can be traced throughout the rest of the Hebrew Scriptures. When God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was completely formless and empty, with nothing but darkness draped over the deep. God’s Spirit swept over the face of the waters. And then God announced: “Let there be light,” and light burst forth! Genesis 1:1-3

Download or read book Perspectives on Tithing written by David A. Croteau and published by B&H Publishing Group. This book was released on 2011-04-14 with total page 210 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Was the tithe just for Israel, or is it also applicable to Christians? Must a tithe go only to your local church, or can it be received by any Christian organization? Do we tithe on the net or the gross amount? Perspectives on Tithing presents in point-counterpoint format the most common views about how Christians are to give of their financial resources, addressing the myriad of questions that surround the complex issue. Ken Hemphill (Empowering Kingdom Growth) and Bobby Eklund (Eklund Stewardship Ministries) contribute "The Foundations of Giving" while the book's editor, David A. Croteau (Liberty University), writes "The Post-Tithing View: Giving in the New Covenant." A chapter by Reggie Kidd (Reformed Theological Seminary) is called "Tithing in the New Covenant? 'Yes' as Principle, 'No' as Casuistry." Finally, Gary North (Institute for Christian Economics) looks directly at "The Covenantal Tithe," and Scott Preissler (Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary) provides the epilogue.
