Book excerpt: ...The End of America is the second title in the triad of shattered Western destiny, The End of the Westerner, The End of America, The German Disaster, which will open a possible scenario for Extinct Sapiens, or Self – Extinct Sapiens... ...Here, at the end of hic et nunc, we came to this Western - land (European and American), indolent, utopian, unrealistic, full of arrogance and ignorance, believing itself unique in history and irreplaceable in the world... ...This sad finality is the fulfillment of political prosperity and correctness, here, at the end, the free world is trumpeted, existing only in the empty and stupid imaginations of its leaders, and of its populations completely naive and unrealistic to the cruel and harsh realities of the world... ...Here, at the end of the historical road, are the great democratic conquests of its revolutions of the last centuries (mentioning here the American Revolution - 1776, the French Revolution - 1789, the Russian Revolution - 1917), for freedom, for justice, for fraternity, which they were extremely obsessed with the propaganda and historical thinking of the West... ...Here, in generalized chaos, are present now, in the historical hinc et nunculus, the abuses of his liberties, the anarchies from the abstract concept of freedom, his embarrassing exaggerations from the structures of science and consciousness... ...Here and now, the West has revealed itself in all its hidden evils of propaganda and manipulation, in all its shocking truths, beautified by surle and music, by movies full of carrots and sick imaginations, creating its own phobias and obsessions with anxieties , beyond any classic psychoanalytic analysis... ...Here, now, in the midst of the super-hot summer of 2020, the whole West, the whole of Abendland, is also through the Corona pathologies, and through the immense-economic falls, in the apogee of its indisputable, intractable and unsolvable blindness, decades of deafness and years of empty reading... Woe to the BLIND, DEAF AND NAKED! ...Here and now... ...Here and now is the END OF AMERICA, mocking real values, some created by him, but viewed and treated with indifference, rejection, and oblivion, including the alleged providential protection of his destiny, synthesized in God Bless America! ... ...Here and now, it is the crash of Western crashes, banking, financial, moral (actually immoral), economic, artistic... ...And this is what a Nonapocalyptologist, a Nonarmaghedo-nologist, a Nondezastrologist, a Noncalamitologist says, but who sees and lives live these immense Western unrealities, having also the real courage to write and describe these catastrophic Western collapses... The Last Americanologist

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why so many of America's public university students are not graduating—and what to do about it The United States has long been a model for accessible, affordable education, as exemplified by the country's public universities. And yet less than 60 percent of the students entering American universities today are graduating. Why is this happening, and what can be done? Crossing the Finish Line provides the most detailed exploration ever of college completion at America's public universities. This groundbreaking book sheds light on such serious issues as dropout rates linked to race, gender, and socioeconomic status. Probing graduation rates at twenty-one flagship public universities and four statewide systems of public higher education, the authors focus on the progress of students in the entering class of 1999—from entry to graduation, transfer, or withdrawal. They examine the effects of parental education, family income, race and gender, high school grades, test scores, financial aid, and characteristics of universities attended (especially their selectivity). The conclusions are compelling: minority students and students from poor families have markedly lower graduation rates—and take longer to earn degrees—even when other variables are taken into account. Noting the strong performance of transfer students and the effects of financial constraints on student retention, the authors call for improved transfer and financial aid policies, and suggest ways of improving the sorting processes that match students to institutions. An outstanding combination of evidence and analysis, Crossing the Finish Line should be read by everyone who cares about the nation's higher education system.

Book Finishing the Race Human History Life and Race before Us

Download or read book Finishing the Race Human History Life and Race before Us written by Plammoottil V. Cherian and published by Covenant Books, Inc.. This book was released on 2023-08-29 with total page 306 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: FINISHING THE RACE Stimulating, theological, and packed with fascinating historical details of Human Race from a Biblical perspective, author's lively tour of the entire Bible traces the origin of human race from one man whose progeny spread to the entire earth, filled the earth, established their nations with set boundaries. Author establishes the historical account of creation challenging the concept of Darwinian Evolution which claims man is an evolutionary product. Author stresses that there is only One God who created the universe--the cosmos, the planets, stars, life, and the multitude of living species of organisms with the command endowed in their DNA, when God said, to herbs, plants, and animals to multiply "according to its kind," "according to their kind," which is the basis for biological variation and speciation. Whereas God's command to human beings was "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it," meaning there is only one single race of humanity. Author has a profound Christian vision of humanity's temporal and eternal destiny, and thus, he relates in Finishing the Race: In an age when truth is relative, and vanishing conscience, the nations are the crossroads, confused about the true direction as nations are estranged from God. The present culture is "as in the Days of Noah" quoting Jesus and citing world events and conditions as signs of the end. An end time scenario of world and the second coming of Christ when a northern and a southern army will clash in fierce battle over Jerusalem, the Holy City of God, the capital of the Messianic Kingdom. Not claiming any superiority, like many of the past and famous scientists like Galilei Galileo, Blaise Pascal, Isaac Newton, Louis Pasteur, Robert Boyle etc. Cherian attempt to convince his readers God is in control of human and world affairs, and natural events. Heaven and hell are not mysterious realms of imagination but true physical entities invisible to human eyes and calls the nations to submit to God who only is the answer to national, and global unrest that we see now.

Book Find Fix Finish

Download or read book Find Fix Finish written by Aki Peritz and published by PublicAffairs. This book was released on 2012-03-13 with total page 393 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: On 9/11 the U.S. had effectively no counterterrorism doctrine. Fast forward ten years: Osama bin Laden is dead; al Qaeda is organizationally ruined and pinned in the tribal areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan; there has been no major attack on American soil; and while there has been at least one instance of a massive planned attack, it was crushed by the greatest international collaboration of intelligence services seen since the end of the Cold War. It's been a remarkable transformation. Aki Peritz and Eric Rosenbach have experienced first-hand the monumental strategy changes in our country's counterterrorism strategy within the intelligence, defense, and political communities. In this book, they show how America learned to be very good at taking on the terrorists, often one at a time, in ever more lethally incisive operations. They offer new details behind some headlines from the last decade. They are frank about the mistakes that have been made. And they explain how a concept coined by General Grant during the Civil War has been reinvented in the age of satellite technology to manage a globally distributed foe, allowing the U.S. to find, fix, and finish its enemies.

Buford sought out 60 of these trailblazers--including Peter Drucker, Roger Staubach, Jim Collins, Ken Blanchard, and Dallas Willard--and has recorded their lively conversations in these pages so that they can serve as "mentors in print" for all of us.
