Book Husserl s Ethics and Practical Intentionality

Download or read book Husserl s Ethics and Practical Intentionality written by Susi Ferrarello and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2015-12-17 with total page 279 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Husserl's 20th-century phenomenological project remains the cornerstone of modern European philosophy. The place of ethics is of importance to the ongoing legacy and study of phenomenology itself. Husserl's Ethics and Practical Intentionality constitutes one of the major new interventions in this burgeoning field of Husserl scholarship, and offers an unrivaled perspective on the question of ethics in Husserl's philosophy through a focus on volumes not yet translated into English. This book offers a refreshing perspective on stagnating ethical debates that pivot around conceptions of relativism and universalism, shedding light on a phenomenological ethics beyond the common dichotomy.

Book Strutturalismo fenomenologico e psicologia della forma

Download or read book Strutturalismo fenomenologico e psicologia della forma written by Giovanni Piana and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2012-12-25 with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book excerpt: Already more than sixty years Paul Ricoeur enriches the international philosophical patrimony with an astonishing number of highly technical books and enlightening reflections on actual problems and situations. To serve the community of researchers in philosophy I have already published two systematic bibliographies of (and on) Ricoeur in 1985 and 1995. Encouraged by friends and colleagues I present now another updated bibliography as exhaustive as possible.

Book The Frontiers of the Other

Download or read book The Frontiers of the Other written by Gaetano Chiurazzi and published by LIT Verlag Münster. This book was released on 2013 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In recent years, the problem of translation has received renewed attention, but it has been mostly approached from a linguistic or ontological perspective. This book focuses on another aspect, i.e. the political and ethical implications of translation. Engaged in a debate, which encompasses various philosophers - such as Schleiermacher, Benjamin, Ortega y Gasset, Quine, Gadamer, Derrida, and Ricur - the book's contributions show that translation can be considered in an ambivalent way (which has a great ethical and political significance) as an attempt to bring the other back to one's own world or, vice versa, as an attempt to open up one's own world and to experience different cultures. Translation is in fact, inevitably, an experience of alterity. (Series: Philosophy - Language - Literature / Philosophie - Sprache - Literatur - Vol. 4)

Book Fenomenologia esistenzialismo marxismo

Download or read book Fenomenologia esistenzialismo marxismo written by Giovanni Piana and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2013-05-17 with total page 310 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Dehumanization and Human Fragility

Download or read book Dehumanization and Human Fragility written by Primavera Fisogni and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2013-12-04 with total page 167 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When the trade center collapsed in New York, I was sitting at my desk at the newspaper La Provincia di Como, in Italy. If I cannot forget that day, it is not only because that major event shuttered me, but in reason of the cognitive limits that I could experiment. For the first time in my professional career, I realized that a further theoretical step was asked in order to throw light on evildoing. This philosophical investigation is aimed at exploring the loss of humanity from a phenomenological perspective integrated with a metaphysical approach. It collects and develops a decade of theoretical researches, mainly published in Italy, focused on the anthropological aspects of global terrorism from which I moved further to explore human fragility. Despair, sloth, and the pain of traumas are explored in part II of the investigation that ends with the story of Etty Hillesum, the Dutch intellectual who was able to flourish in the midst of the Nazis hell.

Book I problemi della fenomenologia

Download or read book I problemi della fenomenologia written by Giovanni Piana and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2013-01-16 with total page 198 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Interpretazione del Mondo come volont e rappresentazione di Schopenhauer written by Giovanni Piana and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2013-01-19 with total page 382 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This novel approach focuses on lived experiences that belong to daily practical life, such self-identity and ethical decision-making. This practical focus enables the reader to explore how ethics relates to psychology and how the ethical agent determines herself within her surrounding community and world. Using Husserl's ethics the authors present a phenomenological approach moral psychology that offers an alternative to cognitive and neuroscientific theories. This is a practical and theoretically rigorous textbook that will be of use to those researching and studying ethics, morality, psychology and religion.

Download or read book The Good of Life written by Primavera Fisogni and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2015-11-18 with total page 173 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Good is a term to handle with care, especially at our times, so dark, so deeply involved with wars, financial crisis, humanitarian emergencies, and terrorism. So why an investigation concerning such a topic? Moving from the early infancy, Ive explored how the inclination to the world of life structures the Self, in dialogue with some eminent scholars of the twentieth century (Ludwig Wittgenstein, Philippa Foot, Robert Nozick, Hannah Arendt) and the classical metaphysics of Thomas Aquinas, in order to throw light on the origin of the moral sense. As a main ingredient of the ethical conduct, the good-as-positive grounds a respectful ecology of life, according to Pope Franciss encyclical letter Laudato s and invites all of us to increase humanity.

Book The Clinician in the Psychiatric Diagnostic Process

Download or read book The Clinician in the Psychiatric Diagnostic Process written by Massimo Biondi and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2022-03-15 with total page 238 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The vast majority of mental health clinicians and researchers rely on diagnostic systems based on operational criteria. However, in their everyday practice, many clinicians also pay attention to their own feelings or intuitions about the patient. For an even greater number of clinicians, this process may occur inadvertently. Scholars from various fields are increasingly stressing the importance of complementing the emphasis on operational criteria with thoughtful attention to the subjective and intersubjective elements involved in a thorough psychopathological evaluation. This book aims at capturing the essence, implications and full potential of the clinician’s subjective experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. It gathers contributions from several different disciplines, such as phenomenology, neuroscience, the cognitive sciences, and psychoanalysis. It also presents the development, validation, and clinical application of a psychometric instrument that reliably investigates the clinician’s feelings, thoughts, and perceptions related to the clinical encounter.
