Download or read book Large Scale Simulation written by Dan Chen and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2017-12-19 with total page 262 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Large-Scale Simulation: Models, Algorithms, and Applications gives you firsthand insight on the latest advances in large-scale simulation techniques. Most of the research results are drawn from the authors’ papers in top-tier, peer-reviewed, scientific conference proceedings and journals. The first part of the book presents the fundamentals of large-scale simulation, including high-level architecture and runtime infrastructure. The second part covers middleware and software architecture for large-scale simulations, such as decoupled federate architecture, fault tolerant mechanisms, grid-enabled simulation, and federation communities. In the third part, the authors explore mechanisms—such as simulation cloning methods and algorithms—that support quick evaluation of alternative scenarios. The final part describes how distributed computing technologies and many-core architecture are used to study social phenomena. Reflecting the latest research in the field, this book guides you in using and further researching advanced models and algorithms for large-scale distributed simulation. These simulation tools will help you gain insight into large-scale systems across many disciplines.

Download or read book Federated AI for Real World Business Scenarios written by Dinesh C. Verma and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2021-10-01 with total page 218 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides an overview of Federated Learning and how it can be used to build real-world AI-enabled applications. Real-world AI applications frequently have training data distributed in many different locations, with data at different sites having different properties and different formats. In many cases, data movement is not permitted due to security concerns, bandwidth, cost or regulatory restriction. Under these conditions, techniques of federated learning can enable creation of practical applications. Creating practical applications requires implementation of the cycle of learning from data, inferring from data, and acting based on the inference. This book will be the first one to cover all stages of the Learn-Infer-Act cycle, and presents a set of patterns to apply federation to all stages. Another distinct feature of the book is the use of real-world applications with an approach that discusses all aspects that need to be considered in an operational system, including handling of data issues during federation, maintaining compliance with enterprise security policies, and simplifying the logistics of federated AI in enterprise contexts. The book considers federation from a manner agnostic to the actual AI models, allowing the concepts to be applied to all varieties of AI models. This book is probably the first one to cover the space of enterprise AI-based applications in a holistic manner.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A bygone legend with a washed-up crew A crack team gathered for one last tour A cold war that has simmered to its final hour When the Castle Federation deployed the first starfighters, they revolutionized war and drove the Terran Commonwealth from their space. The first of the carriers for those deadly strike craft was Avalon, a legend that turned the tide of a dozen battles. That was decades ago. Now Avalon is obsolete, a backwater posting—but still a legend to the Federation and her allies and enemies alike. Wing Commander Kyle Roberts and a cadre of officers are sent aboard the old carrier to take her on a final tour along the frontier. Aboard, Roberts finds outdated fighters, broken pilots…and key subordinates who just might be traitors. He and the others will get Avalon ready for war once more regardless. Show tour or not, the old enemy has been seen near the border and no matter what, when the call comes, Avalon will answer! This box set includes Space Carrier Avalon, Stellar Fox, and Battle Group Avalon.
