Book Chemical Kinetic Methods Principles Of Fast Reaction Techniques And Applications

Download or read book Chemical Kinetic Methods Principles Of Fast Reaction Techniques And Applications written by C. Kalidas and published by New Age International. This book was released on 2005 with total page 360 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Present Edition Is A Revised And Enlarged Edition Of The Earlier Book (Chemical Kinetic Methods, Principles Of Relaxation Techniques And Applications). Four New Chapters, Dealing With The Fast Kinetic Methods, Viz. Flow Methods Pulse Radiolysis, Flash Photolysis And Fluoresence Quenching Method Have Been Added With A View To Bring More Such Methods In One Comprehensive Volume. As These Techniques Do Not Come Under The Category Of Relaxation Methods, The Title Of The Book Has Been Generalised As Chemical Kinetic Methods, Principles Of Fast Reaction Techniques And Applications . Some New Features Of This Book Are (I) The Inclusion Of Worked Out Examples And (Ii) Addition Of More Practice Problems Supplementing The Earlier Ones In All Chapters (Except Chapters I And Xi).It Is Hoped That Both These Features Will Be Welcomed By The Student Community Especially, Postgraduate Students Of Chemistry Who Wish To Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of This Area Of Kinetics. The Addition Of Many Numerical Problems (Worked Out Examples And Practice Problems) Might Also Provide Teachers Of This Subject (Fast Kinetic Methods) As Well As Those Teaching A General Course On Chemical Kinetics With A Wider Choice In Selection Of Problems In Their Academic Work. It Is Fervently Hoped That The Book Will Be Welcomed By The Chemistry Faculty Of Various Universities, I.I.Ts And Other Academic Institutions In The Country As Well As By Other Academicians Who Are Interested In The Area Of Chemical Kinetics.

Book Kinetics of Chemical Processes

Download or read book Kinetics of Chemical Processes written by Michel Boudart and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2014-05-16 with total page 263 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Kinetics of Chemical Processes details the concepts associated with the kinetic study of the chemical processes. The book is comprised of 10 chapters that present information relevant to applied research. The text first covers the elementary chemical kinetics of elementary steps, and then proceeds to discussing catalysis. The next chapter tackles simplified kinetics of sequences at the steady state. Chapter 5 deals with coupled sequences in reaction networks, while Chapter 6 talks about autocatalysis and inhibition. The seventh chapter describes the irreducible transport phenomena in chemical kinetics. The next two chapters discuss the correlations in homogenous kinetics and heterogeneous catalysis, respectively. The last chapter covers the analysis of reaction networks. The book will be of great use to students, researchers, and practitioners of scientific disciplines that deal with chemical reaction, particularly chemistry and chemical engineering.

Book Physical Chemistry of Fast Reactions

Download or read book Physical Chemistry of Fast Reactions written by B. Levitt and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 342 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The chapters in this book are devoted to the elementary reactions of small molecules in the gas phase, with some emphasis on reactions important in combustion. The first three chapters cover experimental measurements made at high temperatures, mainly using shock waves and flames; the final chapter describes discharge flow methods near room temperature. The authors-all active in the fields they describe were asked to aim at a level intermediate between a textbook and a review, designed for readers not already familiar with this branch of chemical kinetics. We hope the book will prove especially useful to research workers in related subjects, to research students, and perhaps as source material for the preparation of lectures. The examples have been chosen to illustrate the theoretical basis of the topics rather than attempt a complete coverage. Professors Wagner and Troe describe the remarkable progress made in recent years in measuring dissociation rates for small molecules. Tests ofunimolecular reaction theories are usually made in the 'fall-off' region of pressure: the kinetics change from first order to second order as the pressure is reduced. For large molecules this region lies below atmospheric pressure and is relatively easily accessible. For molecules with four or less atoms, however, the fall-off region lies well above atmospheric pressure: it has been explored using the high pressure shock tube techniques developed by the authors.

Book Kinetics of Chemical Reactions

Download or read book Kinetics of Chemical Reactions written by Guy B. Marin and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2019-04-29 with total page 462 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This second, extended and updated edition presents the current state of kinetics of chemical reactions, combining basic knowledge with results recently obtained at the frontier of science. Special attention is paid to the problem of the chemical reaction complexity with theoretical and methodological concepts illustrated throughout by numerous examples taken from heterogeneous catalysis combustion and enzyme processes. Of great interest to graduate students in both chemistry and chemical engineering.

Book Chemical Kinetics and Reaction Dynamics

Download or read book Chemical Kinetics and Reaction Dynamics written by Santosh K. Upadhyay and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2007-04-29 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Chemical Kinetics and Reaction Dynamics brings together the major facts and theories relating to the rates with which chemical reactions occur from both the macroscopic and microscopic point of view. This book helps the reader achieve a thorough understanding of the principles of chemical kinetics and includes: Detailed stereochemical discussions of reaction steps Classical theory based calculations of state-to-state rate constants A collection of matters on kinetics of various special reactions such as micellar catalysis, phase transfer catalysis, inhibition processes, oscillatory reactions, solid-state reactions, and polymerization reactions at a single source. The growth of the chemical industry greatly depends on the application of chemical kinetics, catalysts and catalytic processes. This volume is therefore an invaluable resource for all academics, industrial researchers and students interested in kinetics, molecular reaction dynamics, and the mechanisms of chemical reactions.

Book The Mechanisms of Fast Reactions in Solution

Download or read book The Mechanisms of Fast Reactions in Solution written by Edward Caldin and published by IOS Press. This book was released on 2001 with total page 348 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Published a few years after the author's death, this volume is a sequel to his 1964 book, Fast Reactions in Solution; the material is entirely new, extending investigation beyond now well-established fast-reaction techniques to consider their contribution to understanding events on the molecular scale. After an introductory chapter on origins, methods, mechanisms, and rate constants, coverage includes the rates of diffusion-controlled reactions, mathematical theory of diffusion, flash photolysis techniques, fluorescence quenching, Marcus theory involving proton-transfer and group-transfer reactions in solutions, and electron-transfer reactions.
