Book Faith and the S t o p Principle

Download or read book Faith and the S t o p Principle written by Sabrina Fairchild and published by Tate Publishing. This book was released on 2010-09-28 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Is this it? Have you asked yourself this question? Most of us have. In this crazy, harried, fast-paced world, it's not an uncommon question. As career-minded individuals, we spend our days working tirelessly, but to what end? In the process, we end up putting God, who should be at the forefront of our lives, in a box on a remote shelf. Sure, we still believe in God and might even attend church, but He's not at the center of our lives. It's time we return to our faith and stop. S.T.O.P. Surrender. Trust. Obey. Patiently wait upon Him for all things. We must surrender to God's will in our lives, trust His plans for our lives, obey Him and His Word, and then patiently wait for Him to reveal His will and plans for us. It's not an easy task, especially when we are so accustomed to shelving God and getting what we want. It's time to shelve ourselves and make God the focus of our lives. Sabrina Fairchild, in sharing her own story and struggle with balancing God in a career-driven world, gives you the spiritual tools to do it in Faith and the S.T.O.P. Principle. Sabrina Fairchild is a faith-based motivational speaker and former morning television and radio personality. Her programs reached thousands of listeners. This is her first book. She lives in Michigan. You can contact Sabrina at www.thestopprinciple.com.

Book excerpt: What Does It Take to Grab God’s Attention? When God Stops shares the key to living a life that honors the Lord and jumpstarts your faith. Dr. Derek Grier dissects the extraordinary God-encounters of eight ordinary men and women in the Bible and reveals them as “hidden figures” of the New Testament. The retelling of the biblical accounts from a new perspective will uncover the answer to the age-old question: What makes God stop and pay attention? The answer is faith. Whether it was a man with leprosy, a sick child, or a short tax collector sitting in a tree, they all had one thing in common—a burning desire to get God’s attention. Dr. Grier adds to the narrative by sharing the details of his personal pilgrimage. Growing up angry at God and looking for an identity, Grier eventually attended college and found the kind of faith that made him feel loved and centered for the first time in his life. Each chapter includes insightful verse-by-verse biblical teaching, compelling personal testimony, a section of practical application, and a thought-provoking discussion guide.

This book was released on 2011 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the first meeting of the Relief Society, Sister Emma Smith said, “We are going to do something extraordinary.” She was right. The history of Relief Society is filled with examples of ordinary women who have accomplished extraordinary things as they have exercised faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Relief Society was established to help prepare daughters of God for the blessings of eternal life. The purposes of Relief Society are to increase faith and personal righteousness, strengthen families and homes, and provide relief by seeking out and helping those in need. Women fulfill these purposes as they seek, receive, and act on personal revelation in their callings and in their personal lives. This book is not a chronological history, nor is it an attempt to provide a comprehensive view of all that the Relief Society has accomplished. Instead, it provides a historical view of the grand scope of the work of the Relief Society. Through historical accounts, personal experiences, scriptures, and words of latter-day prophets and Relief Society leaders, this book teaches about the responsibilities and opportunities Latter-day Saint women are given in Heavenly Father’s plan of happiness.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the Lord’s recovery during the past five hundred years the church’s knowledge of the Lord and His truth has been continually progressing. This monumental and classical work by Brother Witness Lee builds upon and is a further development of all that the Lord has revealed to His church in the past centuries. It is filled with the revelation concerning the processed Triune God, the living Christ, the life-giving Spirit, the experience of life, and the definition and practice of the church. In this set Brother Lee has kept three basic principles that should rule and govern every believer in their interpretation, development, and expounding of the truths contained in the Scriptures. The first principle is that of the Triune God dispensing Himself into His chosen and redeemed people; the second principle is that we should interpret, develop, and expound the truths contained in the Bible with Christ for the church; and the third governing principle is Christ, the Spirit, life, and the church. No other study or exposition of the New Testament conveys the life nourishment or ushers the reader into the divine revelation of God’s holy Word according to His New Testament economy as this one does.

Book excerpt: This book does not provide neutral ground. Once youve read it, you either hate it and reject it, or you love and embrace it. The 18 Inch Principle confronts us with a U-turn in the field of missions. Church and missions are not two separate realities: missions is constitutive to the Church. The very existence of the Church is missional. However, for Mike Burnard, mission is not entertainment, religious tourism, professional speeches, or philanthropic projects. Drawing from Biblical principles and a long experience with the persecuted Church, Mike argues convincingly that mission is both the embodiment of the Gospel in the life of every true believer and a clear proclamation of the Gospel to a lost world. Willingness to endure persecution, suffering and martyrdom for the Gospel is the genuine mark of Biblical mission. Paul Negrut (PhD), Professor of Theology, Emanuel University of Oradea, Romania and Pastor of the Emanuel Baptist Church of Oradea, Romania I have finally finished reading the 18 Inch Principle. WOW! What an amazing, truthful book. I just wish every Christian could get their hands on a copy! I think the content of the book doesnt only apply to missions but to every God-fearing Christian. I have shed many tears throughout the book and after your conclusion I just wept. I have learnt a lot and it has been such a blessing to me! Gigi Raimbault, Student at Africa for Jesus Mission School One of the most profound books I have ever read. We are challenged in an unprecedented way to follow in the steps of Jesus. The commitment needed to bring in the end-time harvest is clearly spelled out. The plight of the lost millions without Jesus depends on our commitment to be obedient to a sacrificial lifestyle. Christo Walters, Missions mobiliser, Gauteng If you are looking for fluffy feel good, then this book is not for you! Be prepared for a challenging read that will evoke raw emotion, disagreement, agreement, inspiration, and hopefully action. We have been given all things, equipped, washed clean, for the work God has called all of us to do. Its time to leave the physical building we like to call the Church (but isnt) and get out there and get busy! So strap yourself in, have your pen and highlighter handy, take your time, and thank God for this amazing journey. Curt Vahle, Just a guy from Indianapolis, Indiana

Book Delete Hyperianism The New Face of Cults In the Twenty First Century

Download or read book Delete Hyperianism The New Face of Cults In the Twenty First Century written by Dave Sinclair and published by Magus Books. This book was released on with total page 409 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Articles by investigative journalist David G. McAfee, an expert on cults, have revealed what many people have been saying for years, that the New Age group known as "Hyperianism", with several hundred fanatical followers and two millionaire backers, is a dangerous cult. The leader of this cult calls himself "Morgue", a suitably cult-like appellation. Other names he uses are Morgen Night, the Night Bringer (89) and the Terror of Men. Hyperianism preaches a highly disturbing ideology revolving around Woke extremism, and it could easily be considered a hate group, encouraging people to say "No" to normality and to normal people. Hyperianism detests mainstream society. The leader of the cult is a gender radical preaching a message that androgyny constitutes a higher state, and he says that his cult is for people who are "higher than human", and "beyond human". He even says that he does not identify as human! His misogyny is self evident in this comment: "I can not count how many times some 'spray on tan' slut has inquired in disbelief why I dress the way I do, or do the things I do. 'It's not sexy', she informs me. Such stupidity makes me want to strangle the bitch. Why should I be concerned if other people find me attractive in any way? Should I change my identity, for a waste producing organ between the legs? ... Morbidly Yours, Morgue" This toxic leader constantly asks for financial support from people who are clearly highly vulnerable and being groomed by him. The sheer number of brainwashing techniques in evidence is astonishing. All his life, as a street performer and expert in NLP, Morgue has perfected the art of getting the weak-minded to pay him for "putting on a show". It's essential for whistleblowers to expose these sinister cults and their even more sinister leaders, who do enormous damage to susceptible individuals who are easily psychologically manipulated and exploited by those on the Dark Triad spectrum of narcissism, Machiavellianism and psychopathy. This book is all about blowing the whistle on this dangerous cult and ensuring that people are warned about what they are dealing with should they ever encounter members of this cult or its sinister leader. Judge for yourselves whether Hyperianism is harmless, or a sick, twisted cult that people must be warned about to stop more falling into its trap.

Book Religion in Public Spaces

Download or read book Religion in Public Spaces written by Silvio Ferrari and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2016-04-08 with total page 408 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This timely volume discusses the much debated and controversial subject of the presence of religion in the public sphere. The book is divided in three sections. In the first the public/private distinction is studied mainly from a theoretical point of view, through the contributions of lawyers, philosophers and sociologists. In the following sections their proposals are tested through the analysis of two case studies, religious dress codes and places of worship. These sections include discussions on some of the most controversial recent cases from around Europe with contributions from some of the leading experts in the area of law and religion. Covering a range of very different European countries including Turkey, the UK, Italy and Bulgaria, the book uses comparative case studies to illustrate how practice varies significantly even within Europe. It reveals how familiarization with religious and philosophical diversity in Europe should lead to the modification of legal frameworks historically designed to accommodate majority religions. This in turn should give rise to recognition of new groups and communities and eventually, a more adequate response to the plurality of religions and beliefs in European society.

Book Theology and Feminism in Religion Critical Analysis of Principles and Text Interpretation

Download or read book Theology and Feminism in Religion Critical Analysis of Principles and Text Interpretation written by Leon Kabasele and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2021-11-22 with total page 251 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I believe that, fighting for money is foolishness but fighting for a woman is warfare. Every human being is a spirit, only physical appearance that makes human being different. Everything that a woman can do, a man can also do, they only think differently. A gender of someone does not make him/her to become useless but it is about the mind. What is inside of someone, also manifests outside. Everyone is capable to change the world according to what she/he is thinking. Judgmental is something that makes our world go backwards and many things will not to be improved. Religion does not have to be strong to take an action, in order to accept female in every organisation in it because religion can confuse many people with their different convictions. I spent many years observing women in different religions. I took many risks in different countries for women right in the religion area. I organised important conferences concerning women in the world.

Book Belief in God

Download or read book Belief in God written by T. J. Mawson and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2005 with total page 283 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Belief in God answers two questions: what, if anything, is it that Jews, Christians, and Muslims are agreeing about when they join in claiming that there is a God; and what, if any, prospects are there for rationally defending or attacking this claim?" "In the context of a sustained argument for particular answers to these questions, Tim Mawson tackles many of the most prominent topics in the philosophy of religion. He argues that those who believe that there is a God are best interpreted as believing that there is a being who is essentially personal, transcendent, immanent, omnipotent, omniscient, eternal, perfectly free, perfectly good, and necessary; and non-essentially creator of the world and value; revealer of Himself; and offerer of everlasting life. Having explored the meaning and consistency of this conception of God in the first half of the book, Mawson goes on to consider whether or not belief or the absence of belief in such a God might be the sort of thing that does not rationally require argument and, if not, what the criteria for a good argument for or against such a God's existence might be."--BOOK JACKET.
