The purpose of this study was to study the effectiveness of using All About Me Books as a high-intensity and person-centered strategy for children with and without special needs transitioning from preschool to kindergarten or kindergarten to first grade based on teacher and family input. The results of this small-scale mixed quantitative and qualitative study demonstrated that All About Me Books were effective in supporting the children, families, and teachers involved to have a successful transition process.
