Book Neptune and the Final Phase of the Piscean Age

Download or read book Neptune and the Final Phase of the Piscean Age written by Sioux Rose and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2004 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume functions as two books in one. An "astrologer's reference" it delineates Neptune's conjunctions with planets from the birth chart. Additionally since the astrologer is trained to step outside the temporal context to understand the magnitude of stories inlaid into the rhythm structures of time its perspective is valuable as mankind faces a chaotic transition. The ancient Greeks personified the planetary personae through myth. Neptune, the deceiver, presides over the final phase of the Piscean Age as deception, delusion, and duplicity threaten the great verities. How did we get here? Mankind evidences remarkable technological expertise, but have matters improved for the vast majority? Illusions born of past traditions hold minds hostage, and pit tribe against tribe on the basis of divisive belief systems. Pisces is the zodiac position where the circle meets itself and differences dissolve. Symbolized by two fish, it suggests twin perceptual portals analogous to both brain hemispheres. Two complementary "oars" are required to navigate our shared vessel progressively; otherwise we circle endlessly and history repeats. Right brain sentience invokes what is missing: the sense of inherent unity among all living beings. Mankind can no longer afford the asymmetric worldview that undermines the great balance we must now endeavor to restore.

Book The Dome of Eden

Download or read book The Dome of Eden written by Stephen H. Webb and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2010-01-01 with total page 375 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What would biology look like if it took the problem of natural evil seriously? This book argues that biological descriptions of evolution are inherently moral, just as the biblical story of creation has biological implications. A complete account of evolution will therefore require theological input. The Dome of Eden does not try to harmonize evolution and creation. Harmonizers typically begin with Darwinism and then try to add just enough religion to make evolution more palatable, or they begin with Genesis and pry open the creation account just wide enough to let in a little bit of evolution. By contrast, Stephen Webb provides a theory of how evolution and theology fit together, and he argues that this kind of theory is required by the internal demands of both theology and biology. The Dome of Eden also develops a theological account of evolution that is distinct from the intelligent design movement. Webb shows how intelligent design properly discerns the inescapable dimension of purpose in nature but, like Darwinism itself, fails to make sense of the problem of natural evil. Finally, this book draws on the work of Karl Barth to advance a new reading of the Genesis narrative and the theology of Duns Scotus to provide the necessary metaphysical foundation for evolutionary thought.

Book Evolving Out of Eden

Download or read book Evolving Out of Eden written by Robert M. Price and published by Tellectual Press. This book was released on 2013-03-29 with total page 340 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The now-indisputable reality of life?s evolutionary origins challenges some foundational doctrines of the Christian faith. The issues range from the nature of God as a creator and guiding hand in the lives of mankind to the Fall of Man as the impetus for the sending of a Savior. With the scientific evidence continuing to pile up, the responses of Christian leaders have themselves evolved into different forms. Biblical literalists remain a loud and stubborn voice of denial, yet they have found themselves in a strange and unwitting alliance with outspoken atheists by denying that evolution is in any way compatible with Christian doctrine. Many concerned believers are left walking a troubled middle path between Genesis and genetics, wary of the perils of losing their cherished faith on the one hand or their intellectual integrity on the other. Numerous science-savvy theologians have emerged to help them on their way, a whole cottage industry of guides working to establish their own different trails through the hostile territory outside Eden?s comforting faith-fairyland. Evolving out of Eden surveys these various efforts and offers its own frank reckoning of evolution?s significance for Christian belief.

Book The Divine Plans in the Garden of Eden

Download or read book The Divine Plans in the Garden of Eden written by Sekhar Reddy, Vasa and published by Faith Scope. This book was released on 2017-01-15 with total page 124 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: So many authors could write many kinds of literatures regarding Christian philosophy. But, the Holy Bible, being two parts i.e., the Old Testament and the New Treatment, appears easy to hold in our hands, contains the hidden secrets in the divine plan which are beyond the limits of the earth and sky. In reality, the kind of divine secrets which were revealed in the Holy Bible are not written in any other book or literature. Dear readers! Moses, who was unaware of God, had no divine knowledge, and became the author of first five books in the Holy Bible. Merely Godís motive, will, knowledge, provocation, selection, surrounding, etc., were performed on behalf of Moses by the Lord. The state of the waters, the Spirit of God hovering over the face of the deep, the light which was delivered by the word of the Spirit of God, the creatures, creation and the deeds of the creation, were formed through this light and word; thereafter, he could write about the formation of the man, and the formation of the woman, the tree of Life in the Garden of Eden, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the cunning serpent, etc. Thereafter, he could write the deceit of the serpent on the woman, the entry of the first couple into the sin, the enmity among the five elements, the pollution of atmosphere, diversity in the creation and the first couple were driven out by God. Likewise, he could write about the generation who came from first couple, the sin that spread along with the generation, and the result which was a great massacre through the floods by the Lord God. The Ark, which was constructed according to the divine plan through Noah, gave the salvation for the family of Noah through this Ark. Dear readers! All these happened some thousands of years ago before the birth of Moses. These incidents were revealed to Moses by the Lord and made him to write during those illiterate days, in which there were no pen, paper, pencil and a type writer. The books, which were written in that situation, were first five books in the Holy Bible. Dear readers! In those days, there were no preachers for Moses to teach him. The Lord God was the one, who trained Moses in literacy, divine knowledge, scripture, etc. God trained Moses, and revealed him the secrets in the construction of first five books in those days directly. Amongst them was the history of the Garden of Eden. This book is written by relying upon the secrets in the Garden of Eden.

Book Prosperity Is the Whole Gospel

Download or read book Prosperity Is the Whole Gospel written by Blessing Okechukwu Ezema and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2013-10 with total page 299 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The word prosperity has been misunderstood by many to mean only increase in material possessions. However, both the dictionary definition and biblical references to the term are all-encompassing. Scripturally, prosperity means the total well-being of man, which includes his spirit, soul, and body (3 John 2, Isa. 3:10). This perfectly described Abraham's life at his old age, and we are commanded to follow his footsteps (Gen. 24:1, Isa. 51:1, 2). In Joshua 1:7, 8, God commanded Joshua to be strong and very courageous in order to observe and to do the things written in the Scripture, so that he will make his way prosperous and to have good success. Similarly, Jesus declares in John 10:10 that His purpose of coming is to give us life and that we may have it more abundantly. Every good sermon, therefore, will usually include all or one of the following: - Prosperity of man's spirit, which enhances his harmonious relationship with God, culminating in eternal prosperity. - Prosperity of the soul of man, which leads to abundance of wisdom in dealing with all issues of life, including generation of wealth. - Prosperity of his body, leading to divine health and vitality. All the above prosperity packages have righteousness as their foundation. The understanding of this truth will help you to be self-motivated towards serving God. "This is certainly one of the most important books written on the subject of prosperity for Christians. It is a must-read for all who desire to know the real meaning of prosperity and why God prospers those who serve Him." -Elder Dr. Gospel Ikpeme, provost, Apostolic Theological College, Abuja

This book was released on 2024-09-10 with total page 425 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Notable Catholic interpreters of Scripture discern the guiding values of biblical interpretation at the brink of a new era for the church. Under the influence of Benedict XVI and Francis, Roman Catholics, whether lay or religious, have found renewed interest in studying sacred Scripture. Yet the church has also grown and faces new challenges in the new millennium. What does the future of Catholic biblical interpretation look like? And how ought the church’s rich heritage of biblical interpretation continue to influence it? This volume collects essays by some of the most influential voices in Catholic biblical scholarship today. Covering a variety of topics, from the Old Testament to the New Testament and biblical theology, the essays are united by a common goal: to hear the word of God and proclaim and apply it within the church. The authors pay special tribute to Marie-Joseph Lagrange. This nineteenth-century French Dominican led the way in blending critical methodology with respect for the Church’s authority in order to put scriptural study in service to the good of souls. Featuring diverse and authentically Catholic perspectives, The Future of Catholic Biblical Interpretation represents fresh purpose and direction for the church’s long and fruitful tradition of exegesis.
