Book Deceived By Evil A Great Sacrifice

Download or read book Deceived By Evil A Great Sacrifice written by John Daniel Roberts and published by Writers Republic LLC. This book was released on 2021-11-30 with total page 36 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Deceived by Evil was conceived by a dream in a dream. A dream the author had after he’d dreamed of the funeral of a significant friend. And after reflecting on the funeral of many of his friends buried before their time, and all deceived by their own distractions. The dream, Deceived by Evil, is a brief synopsis or description of the damage that can occur when we’re vulnerable to the deceit of distractions that comes at us from a dark place. Most of the time, when we’re young, we are innocent and naïve to the many directions that life can pull us in, whether by bad parenting or many other abuses coming at us from all angles of darkness. This book is mainly about discernment, about being spiritually attuned to the negative forces at play and of a devil who is totally involved, by any means necessary, in the manipulation and orchestration of every chord and note played to the tune of our destruction. And as the book concludes, sometimes we must be ready to sacrifice that thing that looks right and feels good to the touch but deadly to the use. But it’s not necessary for you to have to sacrifice your life, if you learn from the lives that have been sacrificed to evil for your good. So if this book is received in its proper perspective by those who read it, my hope is that they will be able to lessen their chance of being Deceived by Evil.

Book Kant on Evil Self Deception and Moral Reform

Download or read book Kant on Evil Self Deception and Moral Reform written by Laura Papish and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2018-05-15 with total page 320 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Throughout his writings, and particularly in Religion within the Boundaries of Mere Reason, Kant alludes to the idea that evil is connected to self-deceit, and while numerous commentators regard this as a highly attractive thesis, none have seriously explored it. Laura Papish's Kant on Evil, Self-Deception, and Moral Reform addresses this crucial element of Kant's ethical theory. Working with both Kant's core texts on ethics and materials less often cited within scholarship on Kant's practical philosophy (such as Kant's logic lectures), Papish explores the cognitive dimensions of Kant's accounts of evil and moral reform while engaging the most influential -- and often scathing -- of Kant's critics. Her book asks what self-deception is for Kant, why and how it is connected to evil, and how we achieve the self-knowledge that should take the place of self-deceit. She offers novel defenses of Kant's widely dismissed claims that evil is motivated by self-love and that an evil is rooted universally in human nature, and she develops original arguments concerning how social institutions and interpersonal relationships facilitate, for Kant, the self-knowledge that is essential to moral reform. In developing and defending Kant's understanding of evil, moral reform, and their cognitive underpinnings, Papish not only makes an important contribution to Kant scholarship. Kant on Evil, Self-Deception, and Moral Reform also reveals how much contemporary moral philosophers, philosophers of religion, and general readers interested in the phenomenon of evil stand to gain by taking seriously Kant's views.

Book A Christian Understanding of Deception

Download or read book A Christian Understanding of Deception written by R. Douglas Wardrop and published by Strategic Book Publishing & Rights Agency. This book was released on 2015-04-13 with total page 193 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. John 10:10a NKJV Satan is the god of this world (see 2 Corinthians 4:4 and 1 John 5:19), is the “father of lies” (see John 8:44), and his job description is to “steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” In order to achieve his aims, he most often lies to us and deceives us. Satan often disguises his forces to make them look like natural problems so you’ll fight them with natural weapons. But you cannot fight a spiritual foe with natural weapons but with spiritual weapons, i.e. speaking God’s word to the devil and his demons. Unfortunately satan can disguise himself as an “angel of light,” so it is possible to be deceived by an innocent and apparently correct Christian teaching (see Matthew 24:4, 24:5; Mark 13:5, 13:6; and Luke 21:8). Often these inaccurate or incomplete teachings focus on God’s love and blessings (thus appealing to our flesh and so lead us astray (see Mark 13:22 and 1 Timothy 4:1) and do not mention His greatness, or our need to obey Him and have a reverential fear of Him. This book aims to help reveal satan’s lie and deception strategies and so empower Christians to live the Christian life that God intended. “Great book, interesting and well written based on solid evidence, documented, and not on flights of fancy or fanciful digressions or comforting in a fantastic book where you can find and discover the birth of the religion best known to the world. Through the dialogue structure, the reading is easier even if the terminology is researched and complex. At first glance it may seem pedantic, but you will be fascinated by the events described that so well dot the book.” -- Kalyan Panja , Booktica - Book Reviews

Book Deception in the Body of Christ

Download or read book Deception in the Body of Christ written by Robert E. Hill and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2010-03-01 with total page 84 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The purpose of this book is to present a comprehensive review of deception, its essential component of neurolinguistic dialectics, and how it is used by Satan to corrupt the human mind from devotion to Jesus Christ. These theological subjects are explored in an interdisciplinary fashion in an attempt to reveal historical knowledge of religious and secular developments of the ages needed to understand spiritual failure, deception, sin, apostasy, the role of the human mind as the venue or battlefield of deception, and how faith in God becomes weak and susceptible to doubt. Always at issue here is "why humanity replicates behavior that regresses to the same results of apostasy and utter spiritual failure induced by deception?" This interdisciplinary approach eludes the prototypical, one-dimensional approach to understanding deception and sin and presents the reader with a "how to" methodology that will hopefully defeat deception and sin. It also shows how deception results from heretical doctrine advanced by false prophets and preachers. Moreover, this book will help readers hone their skills necessary to examine issues of contemporary life with critical thinking in the context of religious and human history that facilitates their becoming better human beings.
