Les études expérimentales ont été menées pour le cas où l'alimentation est effectuée par un dispositif de distribution d'eau en nappe, colonnes ou en gouttes. Cette dernière est effectuée dans le cas d'un film d'eau ruisselant sur un cylindre lisse horizontal afin de déterminer le nombre de Nusselt moyen et d'estimer le coefficient d'échange thermique local. L'utilisation du problème inverse de conduction de la chaleur (PICC) a permis de déterminer les conditions aux limites difficiles à mesurer telles que : la température de la surface et la densité de flux thermique sur tout le pourtour du cylindre. L'étude numérique est composée de deux parties : la première traite de l'évaporation d'un film liquide pure et de solutions aqueuses ruisselant autour d'un cylindre horizontal. La seconde traite de l'évaporation d'un film liquide tombant en nappe sur un cylindre horizontal.
