Book Etude du comportement en fatigue des mat riaux composites a matrice c ramique suivi par mission acoustique

Download or read book Etude du comportement en fatigue des mat riaux composites a matrice c ramique suivi par mission acoustique written by Pascal Reynaud and published by . This book was released on 1992 with total page 306 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book ETUDE DES MECANISMES D ENDOMMAGEMENT ET DE RUPTURE DES MATERIAUX COMPOSITES A FIBRES ET A MATRICE CERAMIQUES

Download or read book ETUDE DES MECANISMES D ENDOMMAGEMENT ET DE RUPTURE DES MATERIAUX COMPOSITES A FIBRES ET A MATRICE CERAMIQUES written by GILLES.. NAVARRE and published by . This book was released on 1990 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: LES TRAVAUX DE RECHERCHE ONT CONSISTE EN L'ETUDE DES MECANISMES D'ENDOMMAGEMENT ET DE RUPTURE DES MATERIAUX COMPOSITES A FIBRE ET A MATRICE CERAMIQUE. CES MATERIAUX, ELABORES PAR LA SOCIETE EUROPEENNE DE PROPULSION, SONT CONSTITUES D'UNE MATRICE DE CARBURE DE SILICIUM ET D'UNE STRUCTURE FIBREUSE, SOIT DE CARBONE (COMPOSITE C/SIC), SOIT DE CARBURE DE SILICIUM (COMPOSITE SIC (NICALON)-SIC). SUR LE PLAN MACROSCOPIQUE, L'ETUDE DU COMPORTEMENT A LA RUPTURE DES DEUX MATERIAUX S'APPUIE LARGEMENT SUR LA TECHNIQUE DES COURBES DE RESISTANCE A LA PROPAGATION DE FISSURE (COURBE R). L'ETUDE EXPERIMENTALE PERMET, D'UNE PART LA CARACTERISATION THERMOMECANIQUE DU COMPORTEMENT DE CES MATERIAUX SOUS DIVERSES CONDITIONS DE TRAITEMENTS CHIMIQUES ET THERMIQUES. D'AUTRE PART, AU VU DES RESULTATS PRECEDENTS, LA VALIDITE DES COURBES R EST DISCUTEE. CETTE ANALYSE EST COMPLETEE PAR UNE CARACTERISATION FINE DE LA FISSURE PAR RADIOGRAPHIE X ET MARQUAGE THERMIQUE. DANS LE COMPOSITE SIC/SIC, LA ZONE ENDOMMAGEE, CONSTITUEE PRINCIPALEMENT D'UNE FISSURE MATRICIELLE PONTEE PAR DES FIBRES, EST LE SIEGE DE L'ABSORPTION D'ENERGIE PAR FROTTEMENT FIBRES-MATRICE, ET LE PHENOMENE D'EXTRACTION DE FIBRES EST A L'ORIGINE DU COMPORTEMENT NON FRAGILE. LA MODELISATION THEORIQUE DE CE PHENOMENE CONDUIT A LA DETERMINATION DES DISTRIBUTIONS DE LONGUEURS EXTRAITES QUI, RELIEES A L'ANALYSE MORPHOLOGIQUE DES FACIES DE RUPTURE, PERMET DE CONCLURE SUR LE TRANSFERT DE CHARGE FIBRE-MATRICE. UNE EBAUCHE DU CALCUL DES DIFFERENTS TERMES ENERGETIQUES CONFIRME LA PART IMPORTANTE DU MECANISME D'EXTRACTION DE FIBRES. LES RESULTATS THEORIQUES SONT COMPARES A L'ETUDE EXPERIMENTALE AFIN DE PRECISER LE COMPORTEMENT THERMOMECANIQUE DES MATERIAUX ET LES PARAMETRES MICROMECANIQUES QUI INTERVIENNENT

Book Flexoelectricity in Liquid Crystals

Download or read book Flexoelectricity in Liquid Crystals written by Agnes Buka and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2013 with total page 299 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book intends to give a state-of-the-art overview of flexoelectricity, a linear physical coupling between mechanical (orientational) deformations and electric polarization, which is specific to systems with orientational order, such as liquid crystals. Chapters written by experts in the field shed light on theoretical as well as experimental aspects of research carried out since the discovery of flexoelectricity. Besides a common macroscopic (continuum) description the microscopic theory of flexoelectricity is also addressed. Electro-optic effects due to or modified by flexoelectricity as well as various (direct and indirect) measurement methods are discussed. Special emphasis is given to the role of flexoelectricity in pattern-forming instabilities. While the main focus of the book lies in flexoelectricity in nematic liquid crystals, peculiarities of other mesophases (bent-core systems, cholesterics, and smectics) are also reviewed. Flexoelectricity has relevance to biological (living) systems and can also offer possibilities for technical applications. The basics of these two interdisciplinary fields are also summarized.
