Book excerpt: Na presente coletânea, há textos pertencentes aos discursos poético, literário, religioso e didático pedagógico. “Relações entre semiótica e poesia” propõe estabelecer a relação entre semiótica e poesia, recorrendo-se ao instrumental teórico-metodológico da semiótica discursiva, que procura explicar os mecanismos discursivos de produção dos sentidos no texto, com base na observação do plano de conteúdo e do plano de expressão. No artigo “Breve Análise Semiótica Do Poema “Não Vou Mais Lavar os Pratos”, De Cristiane Sobral, há uma análise com ferramental teórico na semiótica discursiva, tem como premissa apresentar as possíveis correlações entre elementos do plano do conteúdo e de elementos do plano da expressão no poema “Não vou mais lavar os pratos”, de autoria de Cristiane Sobral, tendo por suporte o semissimbolismo. Destaca-se a dimensão e a justificativa da pesquisa ao inserir a temática do poema, no que tange ao seu empoderamento, demonstrado na análise por meio da correlação entre os simulacros construídos. Em “Do signo e das formas de expressão aos efeitos de sentido: algumas considerações sobre a teoria da significação a partir de “Touro Ferdinando”, tendo como base o enunciado fílmico, uma análise das relações entre o plano de conteúdo e de expressão, na perspectiva hjelmsleviana, no que concerne ao conceito de semissimbolismo. Já em “Letramento Teatral Crítico: Relações entre Língua, Corpo/Performance e Ensino De Inglês”, trata dos desenvolvimentos acerca do atual expediente de ensino da língua inglesa. Enquanto que em “O ensino da língua inglesa e os novos letramentos”, apresenta ao leitor a gênese e os desenvolvimentos do conceito de letramento de modo a se delinear a necessidade de uma nova forma de ensino para a língua inglesa. E por meio do artigo “O perfil de um ator da enunciação religiosa nas mídias digitais”, tendo como ferramental teórico a semiótica discursiva, tem como objetivo geral estabelecer uma proposição analítica referente às práticas religiosas de divulgação religiosa midiática, tendo como base a análise de um recorte da mensagem videográfica, retirada do canal intitulado Pastor Antônio Júnior, da plataforma YouTube.

E, por fim, são apresentadas algumas reflexões teóricas-analíticas sobre a noção de letramento teatral crítico e, a partir dessa definição, discutir alguns dados de uma pesquisa cujo objeto de análise são práticas outras e de desobediência epistêmica sobre o ensino-aprendizagem de língua estrangeira nas práticas do letramento escolar, especialmente o inglês.

Generative linguists have severely limited the influence of meaning, claiming that language is not affected by other cognitive processes and that semantics does not influence linguistic form. Conversely, cognitivist and functionalist linguists believe that meaning pervades and motivates all levels of linguistic structure. This dispute can be resolved conclusively by evidence from signed languages. Signed languages are full of iconic linguistic items: words, inflections, and even syntactic constructions with structural similarities between their physical form and their referents' form. Iconic items can have concrete meanings and also abstract meanings through conceptual metaphors. Language from the Body rebuts the generativist linguistic theories which separate form and meaning and asserts that iconicity can only be described in a cognitivist framework where meaning can influence form.
