Download or read book Enzymology and Molecular Biology of Carbonyl Metabolism 10 written by H. Weiner and published by Gulf Professional Publishing. This book was released on 2001-05-14 with total page 994 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The largest collection of articles on the three major gene families, this work ranges from enzymology to molecular biology to physiological implications. The three gene families are related in that the enzymes catalyse the NAD(P) dependent oxidation or reduction of carbonyl containing substrates. The substrates are important in diverse areas such as alcoholism, diabetes and cancer related problems as well as simple detoxification. The scope of the chapters, contributed by leading international scientists, is wide and covers gene regulation to enzyme mechanisms and protein structure. This is the only publication dealing in such depth with just three gene families. An important reference for researchers in toxicology and molecular biology.

Book excerpt: It is difficult to believe that our planet has been weaponized before our very eyes, but that is exactly what has happened. First, we were seduced by the convenience of a wireless world; then, atmospheric weather experimentation in the guise of carbons “climate change” converted the air we breathe into an antenna. Now, the geo-engineering we’ve been subjected to for two decades is being normalized as the “Star Wars” Space Fence rises around and within us. Is this the Space Age we were promised?

Download or read book PET Chemistry written by P.A. Schubiger and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2007-01-19 with total page 348 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Personalized medicine employing patient-based tailor-made therapeutic drugs is taking over treatment paradigms in a variety of ?elds in oncology and the central nervous system. The success of such therapies is mainly dependent on ef?cacious therapeutic drugs and a selective imaging probe for identi?cation of potential responders as well as therapy monitoring for an early bene?t assessment. Molecular imaging (MI) is based on the selective and speci?c interaction of a molecular probe with a biological target which is visualized through nuclear, magnetic resonance, near infrared or other methods. Therefore it is the method of choice for patient selection and therapy monitoring as well as for speci?c e- point monitoring in modern drug development. PET (positron emitting tomography), a nuclear medical imaging modality, is ideally suited to produce three-dimensional images of various targets or processes. The rapidly increasing demand for highly selective probes for MI strongly pushes the development of new PET tracers and PET chemistry. ‘PET chemistry’ can be de?ned as the study of positron-emitting compounds regarding their synthesis, structure, composition, reactivity, nuclear properties and processes and their properties in natural and - natural environments. In practice PET chemistry is strongly in?uenced by the unique properties of the radioisotopes used (e. g. , half-life, che- cal reactivity, etc. ) and integrates scienti?c aspects of nuclear-, organic-, inorganic- and biochemistry.

Download or read book Chemtrails HAARP and the Full Spectrum Dominance of Planet Earth written by Elana Freeland and published by Feral House. This book was released on 2014-05-26 with total page 273 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We are entering a Space Age, but not the kind President Kennedy originally envisioned. This Space Age is replacing resource wars and redefines planet earth as a "battlespace" in accordance with the military doctrine of "Full-Spectrum Dominance." This book examines how chemtrails and ionispheric heaters like the High-frequency Active Auroral Research Project (HAARP) in Alaska services a full-spectrum dominance. This "Revolution in Military Affairs" needs an atmospheric medium to assure wireless access to the bodies and brains of anyone on Earth—from heat-seeking missiles to a form of mind control. How sinister are these technologies? Are we being prepared for a "global village" lockdown? The recent release of NSA records have reminded Americans that "eyes in the sky" are tracking us as supercomputers record the phone calls, e-mails, internet posts, and even the brain frequencies of millions. Elana M. Freeland's startling book sifts through the confusion surrounding chemtrails-versus-contrails and how extreme weather is being "geo-engineered" to enrich disaster capitalists and intimidate nations. A deconstruction of Bernard J. Eastlund's HAARP patent points to other covert agendas, such as a global Smart Grid infrastructure that enables access to every body and brain on Earth, a "Transhumanist" future that erases lines between human and machine, and Nanobiological hybrids armed with microprocessers that infest and harm human bodies.

Download or read book Molecular Anatomic Imaging written by Gustav Konrad von Schulthess and published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. This book was released on 2007 with total page 652 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This fully updated Second Edition focuses sharply on clinical PET-CT and SPECT-CT examinations, omitting lengthy physics discussions. The book is now strictly disease oriented and integrates PET-CT and SPECT-CT applications completely. When both techniques are relevant for a disease, they are discussed together; when only one is relevant, it is discussed alone. More than 1,200 illustrations are included. A bound-in DVD contains over 80 cases to be viewed in three orthogonal planes and different CT windows organized as reference and self-assessment files. The cases provide excellent training and allow readers to test their abilities in making diagnoses on their own.

Download or read book NMR in Structural Biology written by Kurt Wthrich and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 1995 with total page 770 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The volume presents a survey of the research by Kurt Wthrich and his associates during the period 1965 to 1994. A selection of reprints of original papers on the use of NMR spectroscopy in structural biology is supplemented with an introduction, which outlines the foundations and the historical development of the use of NMR spectroscopy for the determination of three-dimensional structures of biological macromolecules in solution. The original papers are presented in groups highlighting protein structure determination by NMR, studies of dynamic properties and hydration of biological macromolecules, and practical applications of the NMR methodology in fields such as enzymology, transcriptional regulation, immunosuppression and protein folding.
