Book excerpt: A gothic and steamy forced marriage variation At the Meryton assembly, Miss Elizabeth Bennet accidentally becomes trapped in a storage room with Mr. Darcy. When the two are discovered together, after a treacherous nail has done violence to Elizabeth’s dress, tongues wag, and the rumors decry Elizabeth’s reputation. For the sake of her family’s good name, Elizabeth agrees to marry Mr. Darcy. Given the circumstances, they have decided to live apart, and Mr. Darcy will ready a small estate called Leonane for Elizabeth’s use. Leonane itself, however, sits high on cliff top, an imposing fortress of a house, which all the servants have fled, claiming a curse haunts the place. When she and Mr. Darcy arrive, their carriage is destroyed and the horses disappear. Is it the curse? Or is there someone who doesn’t wish them to leave? Who wishes to trap them there? Readers should be advised that this title may not be appropriate for clean readers.

Book Mr Darcy Downstairs

  • ISBN :
  • Pages : 169 pages

Download or read book Mr Darcy Downstairs written by Valerie Lennox and published by Punk Rawk Books. This book was released on with total page 169 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mr. Darcy is the steward of a grand estate. Elizabeth Bennet is a lowly housemaid. It's P&P, but all the characters are servants below stairs All Elizabeth Bennet wants is to escape. The housemaid position in the refuge of Donwell Abbey seems to be the answer to all her prayers. She finds an immediate friend in fellow housemaid Jane Langley, and she respects the housekeeper, Mrs. Charlotte Lucas. Certainly, the steward, Mr. Darcy, is haughty and proper and thinks she’s not handsome enough to tempt anyone, but he’s easily avoided. Soon, however, Elizabeth must dodge the advances of the butler, Mr. Collins, who has determined making her his wife will greatly increase his happiness, and the jealousy of fellow housemaid Caroline Bingley. And if that weren’t bad enough, a dark man from her past lurks outside on the grounds, ready to destroy her new life. Mr. Wickham knows all her secrets, and he can crush her if so decides. Dear reader, this variation places all the characters we know and love as servants in Donwell Abbey—yes, Mr. Knightley’s Donwell Abbey. This timeline takes place after the events in Emma and features the happily married couple and a cantankerous Mr. Woodhouse. I wanted everyone to read it, so I did my very best to keep it clean. And I mostly succeeded (mostly, mostly, but you know me, so there are some innuendos…), however I could not help but write a bonus steamy wedding night scene at the very end of the book for my spice-loving JAFF aficionados! Enjoy!

Book Once Mr Darcy Promises

Download or read book Once Mr Darcy Promises written by Valerie Lennox and published by Punk Rawk Books. This book was released on 2024-03-31 with total page 204 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When Elizabeth Bennet meets Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, she learns he is engaged to be married to Miss Caroline Bingley. He seems devoted to his bride-to-be, quite attentive to her comfort and always willing to escort her to bed when she falls asleep early in the evenings, as she is wont to do. They are to be married in something of a rush, it seems, as soon as the banns are read. Which is why it’s monstrous that Mr. Darcy looks at Elizabeth in that way that he looks at her sometimes, or that Elizabeth feels an odd stirring towards him. Positively monstrous. Beneath them both. And there is nothing for it, after all. Once a gentleman gives his promise to a woman, he cannot break an engagement. It’s against all codes of honor to do so otherwise. Mr. Darcy will marry Miss Bingley, and there’s no reason for Elizabeth to think it could ever be otherwise. Dear reader, this story features a good Mr. Wickham and a sympathetic Caroline. Obviously, Caroline doesn’t actually marry Mr. Darcy, but read this if you’d like to see just how badly they’re entangled, how we end up with Caroline happily ever after with Colonel Fitzwilliam, and how we get our dear couple sorted. Take note that there is content that may be objectionable to some readers, including nonconsensual activity, violence, and detailed lovemaking scenes.

Book The Bewitchment of Mr Darcy

Download or read book The Bewitchment of Mr Darcy written by Valerie Lennox and published by Punk Rawk Books. This book was released on with total page 194 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy was in an awful carriage accident in the fall of 1811, and he never made it to see his friend Mr. Bingley’s rented house in Hertfordshire. He was laid up all through the spring of the following year, and so it’s not until August, as she’s touring Pemberley with her aunt and uncle, that Mr. Darcy first sets eyes on Miss Elizabeth Bennet. He’s sopping wet from a dip in the lake, and he should be mortified, but she manages to ease a dreadful pain in his hand—a malady that lingers from the carriage accident. Her fingers on his wet palm are some kind of sorcery, and she’s beautiful and witty, and he begins to feel his danger immediately. But then she is called home on urgent family business, and it’s some time until Mr. Darcy sees her again. When he does, he’s half-mad in his desire to be close to her. There is no barrier that will stop him—not her lack of connections, not her disgraced family owing to her sister Lydia’s indiscretion, not even propriety itself. Elizabeth Bennet has bewitched him, body and soul, and he must have her near him. Dear reader, this is a book you get when you cross the Colin Firth lake scene with the Matthew McFayden hand flex, toss in a bit of homage to The Crucible, and then somehow get buried in spicy scenes, including, er, a bit of size kink. Adventurous readers only, I’m afraid. You have been warned.

Book excerpt: In this imaginative retelling of Pride and Prejudice, Amanda Grange now tells the classic story through the eyes of its compelling romantic hero, Fitzwilliam Darcy—in a series of revealing letters that casts a sparkling new reflection on the manners and morals of the landed gentry in 19th-century England… Here, for the first time, are the letters written by the exceedingly proud and stubborn Mr. Darcy, covering the life-changing events that defined him—from the death of his father, to his control of his Derbyshire estate of Pemberley to his conflicted courtship with the lively, intelligent, and delightfully willful Elizabeth Bennet. Try as he may, he cannot deny his attraction to this woman with fine eyes, a playful spirit, a mind of her own… and an embarrassing family that is frankly, and utterly, beneath him. But it is Elizabeth who controls both their destinies, and whose surprises will change Darcy’s life yet again.

Book excerpt: First Novel in the DARCY AND ELIZABETH SERIES (Part 1 of 2 parts) This is the ILLUSTRATED EDITION PAPERBACK published in color. An Accident, a Chance Meeting, a Dance and Romance . . . But Will Darcy Win Elizabeth? What if Elizabeth Bennet met Fitzwilliam Darcy before the Meryton Assembly? What if she heard Darcy's insulting comment at the Assembly? What if he apologized at that ball? What if they rubbed along for a while until Lizzy's pride and temper got in the way? And what if Wickham falls in love for the first time in his profligate life? What will he do, and how will he react when the young woman doesn't return his feelings? "Pride and Prejudice: Darcy Chooses" is about innocent young couples - Darcy and Elizabeth and Bingley and Jane - and the feelings that love evokes and how they handle those feelings. It even takes a brief look at several married couples: Why is there little affection between Thomas and Fanny Bennet? How have the Gardiners grown in their love for one another? And what will happen to the Hursts' marriage? It is a realistic look at relationships that very well may have readers taking a closer look at their own marriages. Add the Wicked Wickham to the mix and what do you have? You have a tale of friendships, love lost, love gained and the angst of everyday life in Regency England. Here is a brief preview "Caroline, I don't care if you want to be fashionably late or not. You need to hurry up as we are already late about a quarter hour," Bingley shouted. He was eager to get to the assembly and was looking forward to meeting new people, especially some of the pretty women that he had heard lived in the area. Caroline was not trying to be fashionably late; she wished to be the center of attention from all the other attendees. Being late allowed that to happen, and Charles Bingley realized that Caroline would get her wish. Bingley, Darcy and the Hursts had been waiting for several minutes when Caroline deigned to appear. She wore the latest fashionable gown, but the orange color clashed a bit with her red hair. Caroline was oblivious to that fact and came down the stairs with a superior expression on her face and ostrich feathers in her hair matching the color of her gown. "At last," remarked Bingley hustling them into the carriage. Caroline just smiled because she knew that all of them would receive the attention she felt that they deserved this evening. *** All the party realized that they were probably the last attendees to arrive as no other carriages were behind them. Each of the party descended from the carriage and proceeded up the steps to the assembly room. "Louisa, the place even has an odor to it," whispered Caroline to her sister with a sneer and wrinkling her nose. Louisa refrained from answering, gave her cape to the footman and took her husband's arm. When all had divested themselves of coats and capes, they stood in the entrance to the assembly room. Although, a dance was in full swing, when their party appeared, the band ceased playing and the dancers stopped dancing. And everyone stared. Caroline was pleased and gave one and all a haughty stare as they proceeded into the room with Mr. Darcy in the lead. It was no matter to her if her dress was too fancy for a local assembly; she wanted to make sure that she outshone all of the other attendees, most especially, the women. The other attendees were not sure what to make of the party. The tall man in the lead had a harsh demeanor, the handsome young man behind him had a smile from ear to ear, the ladies looked very haughty and the man with one of the women just looked bored. A pin could have dropped and been heard from one end of the room to the other. Then, the musicians and the dancers picked . . . Read more at http: //giannathomaspandp
