Book excerpt: El clima laboral ha recibido mucha atención durante las últimas décadas debido a que es considerado como unos de los factores que contribuye a producir resultados deseables para las organizaciones, y para las personas que trabajan en ellas. Sin embargo, todavía son escasos los estudios longitudinales desarrollados para identificar con cierta claridad cuáles son los antecedentes y las consecuencias del clima. El trabajo de investigación que se presenta en este libro pretende contribuir a cubrir esta laguna. Para ello se ha desarrollado un diseño de panel con Equipos de Atención Primaria. Los resultados hallados indican que el clima de los equipos influye sobre diversas dimensiones del estrés de rol, el bienestar psicológico, la satisfacción laboral, y sobre el compromiso con el equipo. Estos resultados muestran que las intervenciones sobre el clima de los equipos pueden constituir un instrumento eficaz para mejorar la calidad de la vida laboral de las personas que trabajan en ellos. Para diseñar tales intervenciones es preciso identificar los antecedentes de las percepciones de clima. En este sentido, los resultados obtenidos muestran que las percepciones de clima son influidas por el tamaño del equipo, la interacción entre los miembros del equipo, y la calidad de las relaciones líder-miembro. Los cambios introducidos en estos factores incidirán sobre el clima de los equipos, que a su vez permitirá mejorar la calidad de la vida laboral de sus miembros.
