Book excerpt: La capacité des parois rainurées ou Riblets à réduire la trainée turbulente a été bien démontrée dans les dernières années. Afin de mettre à jour la compréhension des mécanismes engendrés par un tel procédé passif, pour plus d'applications comme le transport et le traitement des eaux, une simulation numérique d'écoulement turbulent contrôlé par riblets est proposée. La simulation est implémentée via le code de calcul FLUENT. Une étude préliminaire est consacrée aux performances des modèles de turbulence à prédire le caractère de l'écoulement sur ce type de surface complexe. Une comparaison est alors présentée entre un modèle isotrope RKEM vs un modèle anisotrope RSM. Les résultats ont montré une meilleure prédiction des écoulements secondaires par le modèle RSM. Ce dernier est ensuite utilisé dans la deuxième étude abordant l'écoulement dans un canal en charge. Dans ce cas, l'effet de la position des riblets selon leurs espacements est discuté. Les parois rainurées à espacement régressif aboutissent à une augmentation d'efficacité de 1.4% comparée aux rainures à espacement uniforme.
