In the search for his possible connection with the man in the dream, an ex-president of the USA, he analyzed several theories and finally found one that suggest another world and the existence of one life or many others beyond this one. Straining against all that he had previously believed he initially discounts the possibility of reincarnation but after countless discards and rejections he finally accepts it as being the only rational explanation to the doubts presented. In a process of past-life regression, inexplicable new evidence and memories appear which are later corroborated. However, he blatantly refuses to accept these memories as being his own because there is no scientific approach to justify their existence in his mind, as there had been no regular inputs or physical recording process in the brain which could account for their presence. As a result of this, a theory forms in the author's mind which he refers to as Hyperlink', which could offer a rational explanation for the possible access to remote memories of past lives and opens in the process a window on a world without the limits of time or space; one in which reincarnation links all.

Book excerpt: This study examines tales from The Metamorphoses by the Roman poet Ovid (43 BC-18 AD) and from The Lais by the French poet Marie de France (fl. mid-to late twelfth century) to explore a paradox: how can a vibrant, complex, and timeless vision be conveyed in convention-informed and time-bound language? Marie plays against Ovid's tales to probe the dilemma, thereby echoing Ovid who does the same to the canonical literary monuments of his day. Both poets suggest that poetry can avoid the flattening effect of monumental canonizing not only by the creative use of literary echoes, but also by shifting perspectives on the conventional, which in turn, can encourage readers to see reflections of many stories in any given tale. Ovid and Marie suggest and encourage in this manner by presenting literary love's topoi and traditional lovers from a variety of metaliterary perspectives, thereby eliciting active readerly memory as well as providing the opportunity to see the conventional afresh, activity that allows even canonical texts to become living memorials.

As a result, "Echo's Bones" (not to be confused with the poem and collection of poems of the same title) remained unpublished—until now, nearly eight decades later. Beckett confessed that he included "all I knew" in the story. In World of Echo, Adin E. Lears traces how medieval thinkers adopted the concept of noise as a mode of lay understanding grounded in the body and the senses. With a broadly interdisciplinary approach, Lears examines a range of literary genres to highlight the poetic and social effects of this vibrant discourse, offering close readings of works by Geoffrey Chaucer and William Langland, as well as the mystics Richard Rolle and Margery Kempe. Each of these writers embraced an embodied experience of language resistant to clear articulation, even as their work reflects inherited anxieties about the appeal of such sensations. A preoccupation with the sound of language emerged in the form of poetic soundplay at the same time that mysticism and other forms of lay piety began to flower in England. As Lears shows, the presence of such emphatic aural texture amplified the cognitive importance of feeling in conjunction with reason and was a means for the laity—including lay women—to cultivate embodied forms of knowledge on their own terms, in precarious relation to existing clerical models of instruction. World of Echo offers a deep history of the cultural and social hierarchies that coalesce around aesthetic experience and gives voice to alternate ways of knowing.
