Download or read book The Misunderstood written by Ekpo Bassey and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-04-06 with total page 457 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the Garden of Eden, where blaming games originated and through that, our God has been misunderstood. This is the main theme of this book, that we see how God is viewed as the originator of our problems. In reality, He is there to protect and save us from all unrighteousness. The problem we have is that we do not exercise the patience to wait on God’s timing on whatever circumstances that we are challenged with. Therefore, we then apply human reasoning to our circumstances instead of viewing things in God’s perspective. To borrow my spiritual father Charles Stanley’s saying, we should obey God and leave all consequences to Him. If we learn to trust God and obey Him, even if it doesn’t seem favorable to our human reasoning, we are positioned to be successful. I have a strong confidence in the Lord that this book will open the eyes of people to see that God is a loving Father to all.

Download or read book Hark A Vagrant written by Kate Beaton and published by Random House. This book was released on 2020-05-28 with total page 175 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since Kate Beaton appeared on the comics scene in 2007 her cartoons have become fan favourites and gathered an enormous following, appearing in the New Yorker, Harper and the LA Times, to name but a few. Her website, Hark! A Vagrant, receives an average of 1.2 million hits a month, 500 thousand of them unique. Why? Because she's not just making silly jokes. She's making jokes about everything we learned in school, and more. Praised for their expression, intelligence and comic timing, her cartoons are best known for their wonderfully light touch on historical and literary topics. The jokes are a knowing look at history through a very modern perspective, written for every reader, and are a crusade against anyone with the idea that history is boring. It's pretty hard to argue with that when you're laughing your head off at a comic about Thucydides. They also cover whatever's on her mind that week - be it the perils of city living or the pop-cultural infiltration of Sex and the City, featuring an array of characters, from a mischievous pony, to reinvented superheroes, to a surly teen duo who could be the anti-Hardy-Boys. Perceptive, sharp and wonderfully irreverent, Hark! A Vagrant is as informative as it is hilarious, and a comic collection to treasure.

Download or read book SDL 2005 Model Driven written by Andreas Prinz and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2005-06-09 with total page 371 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume contains the papers presented at the 12th SDL Forum, Grimstad, Norway. The SDL Forum was ?rst held in 1982, and then every two years from 1985. Initially the Forum was concerned only with the Speci?cation and Description Language that was ?rst standardized in the 1976 Orange Book of the Inter- tional Telecommunication Union (ITU). Since then, many developments took place and the language has undergone several changes. However, the main underlying paradigm has survived, and it is the reason for the success of the Speci?cation and Description Language in many projects. This paradigm is based on the following important principles of distributed - plications: Communication: large systems tend to be described using smaller parts that communicate with each other; State: the systems are described on the basis of an explicit notion of state; State change: the behavior of the system is described in terms of (local) changes of the state. The original language is not the only representative for this kind of paradigm, so the scope of the SDL Forum was extended quite soon after the ?rst few events to also include other ITU standardized languages of the same family, such as MSC, ASN.1 and TTCN. This led to the current scope of System Design Languages coveringallstagesofthedevelopmentprocessincludinginparticularSDL,MSC, UML, ASN.1, eODL, TTCN, and URN. The focus is clearly on the advantages to users, and how to get from these languages the same advantage given by the ITU Speci?cation and Description Language: code generation from high-level speci?cations.

Download or read book The Limits of Control written by Ryan Diduck and published by Watkins Media Limited. This book was released on 2020-09-22 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ryan Diduck turns his attention to control societies and their protocols in the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic. What are the political implications of government measures to combat Coronavirus? The end of the world as we know it is no longer imaginary. Severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus 2 (also known as SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19) is a potent virus that is upturning nearly every aspect of life on earth. But the novel Coronavirus is more than just a virus. It is a marketplace and media event, too, broadcasting at speed, oscillating against the transmission of its mediations. Ultimately, COVID-19 is the pretext upon which nations around the world have enacted social controls of varying severity, strictly limiting the communication, movement, and daily activities of billions of people. This could be a moment of overwhelming consolidation of capital. Or it could further reveal the cracks in a system which has exacerbated the coronavirus pandemic. We are rapidly approaching the limits of control. In the tradition of William S. Burroughs, Naomi Klein, Mark Fisher, and other key theorists of discipline and jurisdiction, The Limits of Control offers a timely new analysis of control societies, and a sibylline roadmap for living together in a hypervirulent world. What we imagine from now on has never mattered more.
