Download or read book The Shift written by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer and published by Hay House, Inc. This book was released on 2010-03-01 with total page 146 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The #1 New York Times best-selling author of Excuses Begone! The Shift—the book inspired by the movie of the same name—illustrates how and why to make the move from ambition to meaning. Download The Shift and allow these lessons to guide you down a more authentic and rewarding path today. As we contemplate leaving the morning of our life, where ego has played a commanding role, and entering the afternoon (and evening), where meaning and purpose replace ambition and struggle, we may encounter unexpected occurrences that accompany this new direction. It’s almost a universal law that we’ll experience a fall of some kind. Yet these falls or low points provide the energy we need to move away from ego and into a life of meaning and purpose. The Shift doesn’t mean that we lose our drive and ambition; it signifies that we become ambitious about something new. We make a commitment to living a life based on experiencing meaning and feeling purposeful, rather than a life based on never-ending demands and false promises that are the trademark of the ego’s agenda.

Dutch looks at how God brought about His divine shift in the lives of men and women throughout the Bible, and the many ways in which God used these seasons of change to deepen His people's understanding of Him.

Download or read book When It Is Your Season It Is Your Season written by D. Previn Carr and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2024-01-18 with total page 117 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When it is time for God to execute the plan He has for your life, He will orchestrate events, move circumstances, and implore people to act and to align with the plan He has for your life. There is a destiny that God has for you, and He is making sure that every event, every circumstance, every situation, and everyone involved in your life are all working together so that when it is all said and done, you will be exactly what God wants you to be. This book gives you a picture that while Jesse and his sons were at the party that God told Samuel put together, David was out in the field tending to his father's sheep. Jesse proudly brought his seven sons before Samuel in hopes that one of them would be chosen as the next king of Israel. Samuel looked at each one of his seven sons, and even though they fit the external profile of a king, God told Samuel that the external appearance was not what identified them as king. There was one more--the eighth son--that has the internal approval to be king. The one who was rejected was now the one who had to be retrieved as the candidate for the anointed presence of God. David represented the number of new beginnings. As the eighth son, he would bring something new to the nation of Israel. Saul was the people's king, but David was God's king, and God wanted to do something new and different for the nation of Israel. Even though things appear not to be going your way, one thing is for sure. God is not shaken by the rejection of His people. His plans will still be fulfilled whether the people want to be a part of it or just sit on the sideline to observe it. God will show Himself faithful no matter what it appears. Now that God has chosen you, you are now ready for the next season, dimension, and level of your life. Now you do not have to be worried about your past because God has already examined and inspected your life. He has chosen you to move forward so that now His presence can be in your life, and you will be the example and testimony to others that when it is your season, it is your season.

Download or read book Wisdom written by James Kellenberger and published by Lexington Books. This book was released on 2015-11-25 with total page 235 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is an investigation of wisdom in its diverse nature and types. Wisdom may be as everyday as folk adages or as arcane as a religious parable. In one form it is highly practical, and in another it addresses what is fundamentally real. In another form it is moral wisdom, and when it is psychological wisdom it can inform wise judgment. It can be philosophical, and it can be religious. And in one form it is mystical wisdom. These types of wisdom are essentially different, even when they overlap. Often wisdom is proffered in wise sayings—such as proverbs, aphorisms, or maxims—but one form, mystical wisdom, defies articulation. In this book all these types of wisdom will be presented, drawing upon a diversity of sources, and critically examined. Offered wisdom carries in its train a number of issues, not the least of which is how to distinguish between true wisdom and pseudo-wisdom.Also it may be asked of wisdom, when it is true, whether it is true relativistically, varying with culture, or true universally. Many types of wisdom have their origin in antiquity, but can there be new forms of wisdom? Does wisdom, as contemporary philosophers have maintained, have an underlying universal nature? This book addresses these issues and others.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Pressing into the Power takes you on a journey through the bondage of impossibilities and safely guides you to the realm of divine possibilities. Derek L. Calhoun, a duly consecrated and ordained bishop, laments the fact that we’ve become a society that struggles to discern right from wrong. He also observes how the COVID-19 pandemic, George Floyd protests, and the Jan. 6, 2021, riot in Washington, D.C., have led many to lose hope—just like the Israelites in the days of Jonathan. But he contends the pandemic and other life-altering events were not a call to run and hide. They were a call to regroup and rise out of the ashes of obscurity. This book examines the power of forgiveness, the liberating power of faith, the intersection of faith and technology and, the transformative power of listening to the Lord. Discover a simplistic approach to moving closer to the Lord that allows you to break free from the routines of religion with the powerful insights in this book.
