The system kinematics, manual control and visual factors of space rendezvous and docking maneuvers were analyzed. Procedures for manual participation in space navigation and guidance were studied and a preliminary design of a simple computational aid was developed. The conclusions of all the studies are presented and recommendations are made for the design of manual guidance and control systems. (Author).

This report presents an assessment of several issues driven by these questions. This report does not address explicitly the future of human spaceflight.
